It seems like you're asking the same question a different way. The screws LPA supplies with the M4 sights on the aftermarket are different than come on the 1301. The 1301 screws are soft and stretch which is why they come loose. The screws supplied with the LPA sights are harder (than my 1301 OEM screws) with flat tip slots. The 1301 and M4 sight screws are interchangeable, they are off the shelf LPA sights. I don't know who supplies the screws to Beretta but the screws supplied by LPA with their sights are decidedly higher quality.
It actually handled noticeably lighter and easier than the standard pistol grip stock. I haven't put them on a scale to A-B it, but that Chisel stock is actually pretty great if you prefer a pistol grip style. It's only 'drawback' is that as a small batch American made machined aluminum component, it will be priced accordingly.
And I say all that as a traditional stock supremacist.

About the sight and rail screws… according to the MGW web site, they are 8-36 screws?!?! I don’t know if they are wrong or if M4 screws are interchangeable with 8-36’s?
The reason I was asking is because the polymer 1301 sight came off mine. The screws must have been over tightened because when I tried to put it back on the screw heads had gone completely through the holes in the polymer. I replaced it with a CROM and just don't trust the polymer rear sight.
I was trying to determine if the Fusion screws may have had a wider head.
Are you loyal to the constitution or the “institution”?
As far as I can tell the heads are the same. I have the aftermarket screws installed so I can't measure them but the plastic and steel sights are dimensionally the same so I assume the screws are as well. The torque specification is probably 12lb-in, that seems like a lot less than what it would take to draw the head through the plastic body.
I forgot to mention, the aftermarket screws are longer and stop flush with the inside of the receiver. I think I mentioned it somewhere in this thread last year.
I have a Haught style aperture coming from TacOrd.
They are M4 screws.
Here's the OEM screws next to the longer unused set that came with the steel sight. The heads are in fact different. The OEM screws maybe had 50% thread engagement.

Odd 1301 failure. A friend shooting buckshot (could have been 3 inch shell but unsure), shotgun cycled properly and then would not release the hammer to fire.
Disassembly showed that the hammer struts were jammed in their rearmost position, one being slightly further to the rear than the other. A slight tap on the end released them forward to engage the hammer properly, function is now normal.
This is not a high round count or hard use gun but is from the first generation of 1301s. Shotgun has the Aridus adapter and Magpul stock but lacks the Aridus version of the buffer setup.
Will be replacing hammer spring, hammer struts, and adding the Aridus buffer.
Curious if others have experienced this and what else might be done to prevent it.
My apologies to weasels.
