I went against the tide and chose the +1 extension.

Gives me the extra shell and the 1/2 shell expansion room.

My shotgun came with a Nordic +2 extension and it does not protrude beyond the barrel. Am I missing something? thanks.

There is a 1301 specific kit that's sold that fits flush. Idk that when I ordered the a Beretta tube, nut, and clamp from Midway. If you want a flush tube it only comes with the kit.

Interesting CJK, who knew but I bought my first 1301 in late 2015, ordered my Nord+2 directly from Nordic & like you posted it protrudes approx. 3/4" past the muzzle.

I know it was discussed last year, but since it has come up again and this thread is ridiculously long - below is the Carrier Comp fix for capacity.

The pics show the Carrier Comp follower next to the Nordic and the factory spring length with the Carrier Comp installed. This JUST lets me squeeze in 7 Federal 00 shells with less than 1/4” of extra room. Good enough for me since it gives me 6 in the tube, one on the lifter, and the ability to top off if needed.

Thanks for the repost. This thread is ridiculously long.

    Response from Nordic:

the complete kit for the 1301 tackle was made at the request of Beretta USA and they are sold only in kit form. If you tried to assemble your own kit from parts that we sell then you have our standard +2 ext which is about 1/2 inch longer and will work just fine and not cause you any issues. We do not sell just that two separately it is only sold in the kit.

So if you want a flush fit order the whole kit.

That right there is how I would like to have one setup.

But my question is, Nordic lists the individual tubes but does not seem to sell directly (anymore?). Or at least not on line, perhaps they will take an order if you call? Reason for my question, is I couldn't find anybody that had just the tubes (cheap, at only about $35), all vendors just listed the kits with the cap and spring, not so cheap at about $60. Brownells listed them as discontinued by vendor (but they are still on the NC www site), I ordered what was supposed to be their last one, and it was just what I needed, but when it came they had shipped the whole kit, so they probably didn't even have the one they thought they did.

I have what I need for now, but is there a go-to vendor that has all the piece parts? For $35 I might further experiment.

ETA: This is for my 391 Xtrema2 I have been tweaking for three gun. I added the bolt release and bolt handle, and have started grinding on the loading port (while avoding the serial number that is in the way):

Pretty sure I ordered all my stuff from direct but it was years ago…I’d assume any of their dealers can order that stuff if they call. Or call Nordic direct?

ETA: Looks like DSG has the coupler and Shooters Connection sells the tube sections…
