Beretta 1301 Tactical

I switched mine to lefty for a short time, but eventually switched it back and trained through it.
I've got several other long guns with right handed safeties and didn't want to get mixed up "in the moment".
This was the video I used to help me with the 1301 safety reversal:

I’ve only ever ran Mossbergs because of the safety position. One of the many reasons I was sold on the Beretta was the ability to switch the safety around. I never really thought about training through it but then again it’s the only shotgun I have with the safety positioned there.
Maybe I’ll try it out as is for a bit. Any manipulation tips?

I tried the 930 for the safety position, but it was unreliable.
Other research I did indicated they tended to be finicy.
I'm not a trainer, so there are probably others who know better, but in these videos you can see me reach around or under the trigger guard to manipulate the 1301 safety.

Anyone try out the TacCom extension on the 1301? I ordered the +1, so with the end cap it should give me +2. I have no idea how it's even going to look on my 1301 lol. Hopefully good!

I ended up going back to the OEM handguard after trying the Aridus/Magpul solution. The QD mount position was good, but the QD and light don't feel very solid. The plastic Magpul handguard feels flimsy and flexes at the attachment points. I like the ergos and feel of the OEM handguard better.

I agree with this and while I kept the Aridus on my original 1301, when I got a back up I just stayed with the OE hand guard. I did change the stock on both though.

A friend asked me about the Mossberg 590A1 and when I looked on Gunbroker...most of the "buy now" guns are priced the same or within $100 of a 1301. What is going on!?!

2020 happened. Shotguns became really, really popular for defensive purposes and prices went through the roof.

Lots of shit tier shotguns got sold.

The few that actually took them out to shoot broke them rather quickly.

I bought the briely M-lok hundguard that was released in January of this year.
It will arrive in Japan soon, so I will post a review and a photo when it arrives.
