I see nothing wrong with this level of public shaming.

No I am not "cool with that" but public shaming does work very well, especially when the CJ system doesn't do anything or gives the "slap on the wrist" people do not like.
In the modern world which is driven heavily by the internet, if you do not want your life in the public's eye, do not bring it there. She caused this to occur, no one else. Yes people break the law in order to serve some sort of "punishment" but there is legal recourse for that, they will put themselves out there just she is. It is a viscous cycle.
I'd be perfectly content if someone posted her name, area she works in, a photo of her, video of the incident and a quick text explaining why her name is out there - let her future employers do the rest.

The real question is if the website will go away. Getting her kicked out of her residency program will likely be a black mark on her record for quite a while. But if she straightens up, has no issues for I see no reason why all easy to find records of this shouldn't disappear after a couple of years.

I'm glad social media, cell phone cameras, and everyone up everyone else's ass over minor bullshit wasn't a thing when I was young and stupid.
She was publicly shamed. She lost her Residency/job. The website linked above is over the top and a bit weird, especially if the person who created it was not an involved party or harmed by the individual in question.
Facts matter...Feelings Can Lie
Death threats, job loss, etc isn't just public shaming. It's a great deal more severe than that.
Your life is already in the public eye. No amount of "well I don't facebook so..." is going to change that. That she had a legit dumbass fit doesn't change the fact that this sort of response gets brought down on people who didn't even do anything. You defend the mob on this and next time it could be you on the receiving end of a Jackie hoax or having the pedo label slapped on you and gettting death threats.if you do not want your life in the public's eye, do not bring it there. She caused this to occur, no one else.
The mob doesn't discriminate between "real asshole", "sorta asshole that maybe doesn't quite deserve anthrax mailed to them" and "totally innocent person" once the story catches fire. Everybody gets the same disproportionate response. There's a reason every single civilization in history eventually established a court system and law enforcement apparatus. You let this shit hit critical mass and it's chaos.
I've rarely heard of the people doxing and brigading being found at all, much less being found guilty of it. It's not a vicious cycle, it's a one way street with a knee jerk response that doesn't even remotely fit the crime. Assuming there was a crime. Which usually there usually wasn't. In this case there was, but it was not a serious crime. Or at least there's some contention on that point.Yes people break the law in order to serve some sort of "punishment" but there is legal recourse for that, they will put themselves out there just she is. It is a viscous cycle.
If only we had some sort of mechanism to determine whether or not there was a crime... And maybe we could get some level headed people together and determine the severity and what a reasonable response would be...

I know people have eventually been caught for SWATting, but I can't recall anyone being caught for doxxing someone who wasn't a high-profile celebrity. Not that LE wouldn't catch them if they could; the various anonymity tools out there now adays just makes it too much effort for anything other than the most egregious offences.

I've help catch people who have doxed others, it's a form of fraud locally but it's been done.
Please do not put words into my mouth. When people do something which causes others to question their character, that is a very legitimate reason for someone to be publicly shamed. Should their lives be ruined? It depends on the severity of their indiscretion.
As many LEOs here, we've had our names in the paper, you can Google us and see what we have done and to who. Of course this is a different situation altogether, this person did something which was deemed morally and ethically, wrong. Are we, as a society just supposed to let it go?
