Thread: Interesting article on FireClean weapons oil

    Now they are suing Weaponshield

Fireclean alleges defamation by Fennell and his company. They also say Fennell referred to their product as “Pam”, “Wesson Oil”, “Criso” and other oils in videos and social media posts they claim were meant to discredit their lubricant. In another instance Fireclean offers, Fennell claimed that “My problem is it will cost someone their life someday.”
On a post discussing April Fools joke ideas, I jokingly warned Caleb that he shouldn't make fun of Fireclean they might add him to the lawsuit. Appears I wasn't that far off the mark.

Oh for Enki's sake. I hope that FC's lawyer is insisting on payment by certified check...

I got breaking news coming down the wire...

    Fireclean is now suing....
    .
    .
    .
    .
themselves for defamation and libel. They say that their own actions are hurting the brand, and are causing a sharp drop in sales. They are requesting that they pay themselves $100 billion. And desist with all these bullshit lawsuits that is hurting their reputation.

ETA: Please don't sue me Fireclean, this is just a joke.

This thread had mostly petered out in September, with a dozen or so posts in late October. But now, thanks to FireClean's suing over their butthurt, here we all are. And this time, it's not just the "FireClean = Canola Oil" bit, it's slamming them for suing because of their advanced and possibly terminal case of butthurt.

If they have a PR guy, he's probably chugging Ten High right about now.

I've always been happy with run-of-the-mill gun oils, and miracle oils and big name endorsers do nothing for me.

    This further confirms my feelings.

Fireclean issued a statement on the lawsuit.

    You can read it here:
    https://www.facebook.com/fireclean/p...41374935957773

Now I found this statement interesting:
Some recent public social media comments have compared our suit against Tuohy to a David-versus-Goliath First Amendment case. It is anything but that. In fact, Tuohy has as many aircraft registered in his name as FireClean has employees (two). FireClean is a small business that has been subject to an unprovoked and unfair attack.
That sounds like he is rich right? Two airplanes, sounds like a lot. Well yeah about that:
    http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/201...wsuit-blogger/
A quick search of the FAA Registration Database shows two registrations for Tuohy, a Cessna 150M (one of the cheapest and smallest certified aircraft you can own, usually costing between $20,000 and $25,000…less than a small car) and a second one for a small video-equipped drone.
Seriously using the drone to make it sound like a rich man vs a small company?
