That's cool. I use Ameriglo fronts on my old-school Sigs, too. I've been leaving the factory rear and just blacking it out. Gives you a nice "front dot only" sight picture. Have my P229, P239, P6 and...

Yeah, I'm curious to see what HK ends up giving us with their micro 9. If it has the VP9 trigger (which I'm 99% sure it will) it's probably a no-go for me. Unless they offer a safety.
The PPS...
Bless you, sir.
Thanks so much, my friend! Appreciate the kind words. Hopefully you find the content entertaining... and informative.
This link references an article from 2012 about Navy SEALs carrying the PPS:...
If you're looking at a G43 don't forget about the Walther PPS (M1 or M2). Very nice shooters. And everything I've gleaned suggests they're durable and reliable. I don't exactly use my guns hard, but...
I'd say the PX4 Compact. Effortless accuracy with an exceedingly plush, pillowy recoil impulse. It's dreamy.
But if G19s and P-01s are too bulky for you (and, I agree--they are), the PX4c...
On paper... I think it's hard to make strong case for a 9mm P229 these days. For reasons many have already mentioned.
But stats on paper aren't what make us love and connect with handguns.
...
I'm necessarily saying they don't suck... but... ProMags seem to work fine in my Walther P5 and my Beretta Cougar. But, when Mec-Gar is an option, there's really no need to roll the dice on ProMags.
Nice! Thanks for sharing. Some of your impressions match mine—definitely agree with “flat but not soft.” I mean, it’s not like the recoil is in any way unpleasant. But it recoils toward you, not up…...
The current Bodyguard is a hammer-fired true DAO pistol. This looks... more striker-y. But maybe not?
The current BG also uses a MIM barrel. Wonder if that'll continue?
I just saw your reply.
I like your logic. I can't disagree. I hope whatever version of this we get retains the safety.
Awesome. Yeah, curious to hear your perspective on how it shoots. As a point of contrast... I don't shoot Glocks at all, and I really like the Archon. Feels natural and intuitive. Though, initially,...
Yeah, I think you're exactly right. I remember when the original batch of Strike-1s evaporated, the US manifestation of what became Archon was called "PMG"--it was kind of a joint venture between...
That's a good article. It actually explains the gun's genesis in Russia and how the design was first produced by Arsenal in Italy (Strike 1), then RUAG (Archon). Apparently, Arsenal is still making...
That’s a damn good deal. I paid $700 for mine, used. Honestly… probably should have just sprung for a new one, at that price. Nevertheless, I’m very happy with mine. I think you’ll love how it shoots.
Nice.
Rotating barrel and a longer trigger pull. Two things that, for me, would make a Glock more interesting.
His explanation of the apparatus on the back was truncated... but, it looks like...
This PX-9 review on Recoil is pretty solid...

Like others said, you can probably get a gun from a more established manufacturer...
The design is very similar in terms of its overall silhouette and layout, but not cloned per se. The parts are all different enough that nothing interchanges--except the magazines. My Daewoo runs...
Nice! That's a good overview. I kinda wanna read those chapters, he mentioned.
Yup, I think you'd be GTG with no safety. The Daewoo's SA is heavier than that... but I imagine Lionheart has slicked things up a bit, for $1700.
Yeah, that's exactly right--it's basically a hinged hammer. So, from a holstering standpoint, you're good.
Personally, I like the peace of mind of an "off switch" with a trigger that light--lest...
I use the safety on mine.
You said you messed with one, so you probably know... but... the DA+ is just an SA trigger, flipped forward to DA position; you've got about 1lb of "flippy slack" before...
Honestly, I think Lionheart is out of their mind with pricing. I mean, maybe with all the added features... it's "worth" a high price... but, I don't know who's gonna pay $1600 - 1700 for a brand...
I dig my Daewoo…

I’ve got Lionheart G10s on mine—though they’re a previous iteration of what’s offered now. Obviously it’s not in the same league as fully pimped out Vulcan, but I really...
Yeah, I remember hearing that Todd was not a fan of the Cougar. Like I said, I also encountered some problems with that .45 Cougar I had. But, after slathering the action in copious amounts of...
