I didn't have the privilege of knowing Jim, but I read his book. I thought it was very interesting that he seemed to really, really like custom .40 Glocks built on G20 or G21 frames, IIRC.

A female officer I once trained recently made do with a polymer pistola and actually did just fine with it. It was a heavy duty H&K though, so maybe the heavier polymer and steel USP...
