What are your goals? Personal defense/concealed carry? Competition? Go to the gun range, however many times a year, and blast off a box or two of ammo? other?
Once you acquire the second gun,...
It seems that Caleb is seeing very good results from this current generation of Taurus guns too. So, this TISAS (similar price point) may be a perfectly solid gun. I don't know.
It's factory...
Has the CZ P-10c been mentioned? Interesting because of the SCD that'll soon be available.
I'm larger than average, so I don't notice a significant concealment difference between "full size" and...
Out of sheer curiosity, may I ask why this particular gun, and not something more traditional like, say, a Glock, M&P or CZ P-10?
Call it the 407 Comp?
If you have a red dot on your pistol or rifle, just go experiment with it.
ETA. Oh and what’s gonna bake your noodle is, you can do the same thing with iron sights.
Hackathorn / Howe, also on red dots.
Yeager on Glock 19's.
Etc. etc. etc. who cares.
So much butt hurt in one thread.
Could the gunternet be any more autistic?
Chambers Custom has a couple guys doing plate systems for 1911/2011s.
think AJ Zito in Arizona is one of them.
On the one hand, if you're a training class junkie for its own sake, rock on with your bad ol' self. I get it, until last year, I was that guy. I attended at least two or three classes per year...
After a several years fighting with CZ's, I've come to the same conclusion. There's a lot to like about these guns. They're accurate, reliable, and easy to maintain. . . but I'm finding both the...
Random bit.
Firing pin on my 2.0 broke. The tip broke off. I'd guess less than 3k rounds through it, but a fair bit of dry fire, if it matters.
Apex barrel, trigger and now...
Based solely on Joe Chambers 1911 University "Mathmatical Reviews," if I was looking to dip my toe in the 1911 world, I'd go Rock Island Armory or Tisas, then Dan Wesson at the next price point.
jlw, are you still running a P-10?
It would be difficult. The Woodwind has a metal cover that can be drawn over or away from the firebox. You could potentially put wood chunks on it, but that would require you to remove the bottom...
I'm happy with my regular 36" Woodwind, but it doesn't produce the dark bark color that this video shows.

Upon further reflection. DB's core interest is around processing the problem. While he's a fine technical shooter and instructor, his emphasis is more on the force application, rather than the...
You mean threads like this?
PF: Speed Control. BTW, sounds remarkably similar to Hwansik's "Levels of Confirmation."

Just bought several thousand Fenix Ammo. They sold out of whatever was in stock in well under 12 hours.
Not saying there's a shortage, but ammo seems to be moving quick

If you have a problem with your pinky hanging off the 92 Compact, that will be as bad or worse on the PX4C. There's no pinky extension on the PX4C mag.
You'll have to replace...
My first suggestion would be to pick up the books "Concealed Carry Skills and Drills" and "Serious Mistakes Gun Owners Make" by the Tactical Professor, Claude Werner. Both books cost less than $15...
