Signed up yesterday. This has been on my bucket list for a couple of years now, so I'm excited to finally attend in 2024
I feel oddly tempted by this: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/985024143
If someone's super keen on one, I have a 5.25" MR73 I picked up last year. Has maybe 250 rounds through it, and would come with a Rusty Sherrick leather holster for it. I haven't even sent in the...
As am I. Very excited.
I had the opportunity to take Redhawk Firearms's "The Test" this past weekend. It's a bit of an odd-ball course, one that I'm still digesting, but overall I came away with a pretty positive...
4" GP100 in 327, the hipsterest of calibers, ending in a few hours on Gunbroker. Current bid is $860. 3" went last week for something like $1600, so I'm a little confused why this 4" is going for...
Nope, I meant yards. The Bianchi Cup stage Caleb had us shoot goes out to 50'. Range limitations kept us from going further than 42' or so.
December 10-11, 2022, saw the first of what will hopefully be multiple iterations of Citizen Defense Research's Contextual Revolver class, taught by Caleb Giddings (jetfire). We were hosted by ...
Will I get to see them this coming weekend at jetfire's class?
A friend's spouse from Ann Arbor, MI, has decided she wants to start carrying a firearm for defense of self and her children. She's not super familiar with firearms, and has come to the decision...
It's very much on my list of classes to take this coming year. I'm just waiting on when they will post their WA state dates, hopefully in late July or sometime in August.
Now if only they would get their mounting kits for the 870 in so that I could actually put these on my gun... seems like those are perpetually out of stock. I don't want to have to deal with velcro...
I ordered mine May 10th, and received a shipping notification on Nov 6, so... six months?
I've got a friend and her daughter, in Brooklyn, who would be interested in a good OC spray class. While they're both women, no need for a class or instructor specifically catering to a female...
Now if only someone actually had the P'kal in stock...
Flew in from Seattle, staying at the Carrolton Courtyard By Mariott (same one as TacCon). If anyone wants to grab dinner or a beer tonight, I'm free. Otherwise, I'll see y'all tomorrow.
Email is...
Not yet. I'm supposed to see RevolverRob this weekend, but I'm not sure if I'll drag the 870 along to a BBQ.
My LGS called me again today that two other tax stamp approvals came in today. Looks like all three Form 4s were done on the same day by the same examiner, so it was a batch approval after all. All...
I think that's called "Social Camouflage"
My LGS called me today to let me know that the ATF approved my tax stamp for a paper form 4 from last year. The check was cashed 11/17/21, approval was granted 8/19/22. Only nine months. I was not...
Awesome. Got my bird shot ordered and shipped down to SeriousStudent.
I received plastic rail keys, not metal ones. They do look substantially different than the original plastic ones. I'll keep the new ones as spares until one of the original ones shears off, I reckon.
Any further updates on ammo counts for buckshot and slugs?
I've had the 1913 rail key shear off twice now, with probably 1-2K rounds between replacements. I'm waiting on the upgraded replacement keys from Modlite right now -- we'll see how they do.
