I just took the gun to the back to the store and got the Trijicon sights measured. The measurements were lower for both the front and back. Does anyone know if the numbers quoted by JBP55 are...
I guess I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and get the gun checked out. :o Thanx for sharing your experience and knowledge on this.
I doubt they are the wrong ones since they were supposedly factory installed by Glock and the store I bought the gun from is one of the most reputable gun shops in Vancouver. I also don't have a...
Based on all the variables of bullet weight, target distance and sight picture employed I probably need adjustable sights to fine tune my gun to my own exact requirements. Am I going to be creating a...
1,2) To put rounds on a 4x6" metal target at 20 meters I need to place the top of the front site about 1mm below the line made across the top of rear site (I employ a POA sight picture). I'm not an...
I recently got a Glock 17 equipped with trijicon night sights. The sights were supposedly factory installed but I have my doubts because the front sight came loose and fell off after a few hundred...
I'm not sure that the lead dust of a shattered bullet is any less of an issue than vaporized lead. It can still be blown back to the firing line.
Thanks Gringop,
That's exactly what I was wondering about. :)
These are small 4-6" circular (some rectangular) hanging targets. The shots themselves appear to be deflected downwards or sideways.
I just hooked up with a range with steel targets. I LOVE them, not because of the "gratification" of the ding, but because at distances where you can't see the results of your shot you can hear...
Maybe you might consider that there are factors you haven't fully thought through before assuming that anyone who says something you don't understand is an idiot. Of course I don't lick the floor...
I'm using disposable hazmat pants (with attached booties). That way I don't even have to worry about my car. I bought a box and when I run out I'm just going to use booties (the pants are overkill I...
I just spilled and entire box of 50 9mm Gold Dots (124+p) on the floor. This is my self defence ammo and I'm wondering if one can damage the reliability of ammunition by mistreating it in this way. I...
My experience has been similar. I spent the first 5-6 weeks shooting a lot (on my own and with a tactical training group). I didn't know anything about the precautions one should take and my lead...
Yes, sorry. I wasn't sure where to ask the question but... thanx.
For hunting or defence against bears can anyone suggest a good 10mm factory load?
If I was going to carry a Glock 20 in the backcountry for defence against bear attacks what would be a good ammunition. Hydrashok maybe?
Has anyone ever seen the HST show up anywhere in Canada. Finding Winchester Ranger T series is almost impossible. I would suspect that the HST would be even harder to find up here.
I also don't really want to go the gym 3-5 times a week for decade after decade after decade. Nor do I want to take the time to cook healthy meals every day. I also don't really want to do martial...
I don't know how you get that I WANT to believe shooting is potentially harmful. That's The LAST thing I want to hear. Based on the comments of many people who have been around the gun world for...
I got my blood test results back and, while not in "dangerous" territory, at 14 ug/dL of lead in my blood I'm about 10 times the national average (in Canada) and more than a little concerned.
Does anyone know if 9mm Winchester Ranger 127gr +p+ "kicks" more than 9mm Gold dot 124gr +p?
Well that's cool then. I showed him how to hold the gun and was VERY vigilant. It was quite quiet on the range and, at the time , I was the only guy with a handgun. I'm a newb myself and just wasn't...
I was at the range today and a youngster (16-17) asked if he could try my glock. I said OK but later wondered if maybe it was unwise. Is there range etiquette for this sort of request or did I just...
