Are you dry firing a lot? I would think after a few thousand reps drawing, that reholstering would become quite natural.

Echoing some of the others. There is just a LOT more information out now on training and technique. All the books that may have been written in the past are still available, but you get more new...
Mine just showed up at my door ;)
Of course, never trust the writing on the box, but going by advertised velocities, the 124 should be a power factor of 138.
If they come in 10% slower (short barrel guy?) you could be in trouble.

Got to shoot a local club match with the Aguilas... Perfect, and never did I feel recoil or accuracy were holding me back.
Zero issues.

Update:
Tested out the Aguila 124gn 9mm today alongside Blazer Brass 9mm and Perfecta (Fiocchi) 115.
The Aguila ran perfectly
The Perfecta cycled perfectly, but is noticeably the most powerful...
For $400 bucks, I'll stick an O-ring over the firing pin, and buy $399.75 of ammo.
Looks cool, but the recoil will not be the same, closer, but no cigar.
If I have a problem, I'll pull that mag and start inspecting and measuring.
I found 1 mag had the feed "lips" just a touch too wide (.360 vs. .349 for all others I have). Made an adjustment to get...

For comparison, I have been using Blazer Brass 9124, and 115), and "Perfecta" (115)
Need RELIABLE ammo for competition.
Have heard many good things about the Aguila 124 grain FMJ ammo
Wondering...
Picked up Stoeger's dry fire book, and did the 30 day rental on his DVDs.
I have been going pretty hard at the dry firing, but I think I need to rethink how hard I go.
After 15 I'm flipping...
The App I'm using allows for as many sets/strings of as many reps as I want as well as being able to set par times for each string.
I have been starting with a relatively easy time so I can focus on...
Several questions on best practices for dry fire drills:
1) Best way to do sets? Keep all par times challenging? Or start out a little slow, and get faster each set (say sets of 5)?
2) Any...
Been doing a little of both.
Being that I want to shoot the same gun in different orgs (IDPA/USPSA) I can put grip tape for stipple the front of the trigger guard.
As expected, the finger ON the...
Newbie question here:
Are there any significant advantages or disadvantages to putting the support (weak) side index finger on the front of the trigger guard?
I have rather large (XXL) hands,...
Thanx!
Luckily Bed Stoeger had the right holster for my gun (apparently very rare to find the right holster) in stock!
That, mags, and mag holders on the way so I can get to proper dry fire...
OK, kinda talked me into it, kinda planned on doing it eventually. You guys gave me the kick in the @$$ I needed.
By this time next week, I'll have 5 mags, 4 pouches, and the rest.
Looking at...
You know, I suppose that just might work. As mentioned, it's not like I'm going to win/place in Production anyway just yet.
I'll be ordering some toys in the morning!

Reading their webpage, I think I will switch to the Critical DUTY as the critical defense is optimized for smaller guns, and not designed to take on heavier barriers than heavy clothing and the...
My intent in USPSA is to shoot Production.
Kinda wish the mag limit wasn't 10 rounds though. I could shoot a 32 shot stage today with the 2 mags I have.
Perhaps. The way I see it, at least for my area, there aren't so many matches that I would often have to chose between the two.
More likely, I'll be shooting both just to get more matches in.
USPSA...
