I have Fermin’s front sights on all of my single actions. Just recently got his brass bead front and plain U-notch rear on a Ruger BH 357. Now I’m spoiled and think all other iron sights are trash. I...
Obligatory precaution: this load might hurt you, don’t do what I do/you’ll shoot your eye out.
I shoot 12.7 grains of HS6, magnum primer (that’s what I have the most of). It’s out of Ruger Bisley...
I hunt with handguns almost exclusively. I’ve taken piles of deer with .45 Colt; it’s my main hunting gun. I use a 255gr SWC that I cast out of a Lee mold and powder coat. It’s very accurate and...
I shave my head and neck in the shower daily with a regular razor and regular bar soap. It takes maybe 3 min.
I guess I’ll add my opinion, too.
I would echo some of the above suggestions that using a shotgun or even a bolt-action with detachable magazines is more effective as a “fighting gun” if a...
Thanks. The trigger is really nice(though, I’m not a trigger snob, so for some it might just be “meh”).
The Hogue grips w/o finger grooves feel really good. Evidently, C&S re-shaped the regular SRH...
I have a Super Redhawk, I believe built by Cylinder and Slide before Ruger started to produce the Alaskan. It’s .454 with some black cerakote-ish finish, bobbed hammer, action job, fixed sights, blah...
I have the SRH Alaskan in .454. With actual .454s in it, it’s a train wreck in your palm. With medium to heavy loaded .45 Colts, it’s wonderful.
Not sure if this will be of any use, but-
I shoot a fair amount of 38 and 357 through a model 19, though mostly reloads.
If the .357 mags are a little much, I would suggest using .38 +p. Longshot...
Cool, thank you.
May I ask what grips those are? I think those would work really well on my M19.
I’m a little late to the thread…
I shoot mostly HS-6 and Longshot in 45 Colt, depending on what I’m trying to do. For HS6 data in particular, I would also recommend the Linebaugh article posted...
My first RDS pistol is a G22 with a DPP. I have 13k rounds (and change)through it, carry it almost every day for work. I’ve been carrying/shooting it since June 2019, zero problems. Not sure how...
The above mentioned Rossi 92 in .357.
It’s been a few weeks….
I have a 16 inch .357 Rossi 92. With a max charge of H110 and a 158 grain XTP, the bullet will hit somewhere within my 2 MOA dot at 100yds. That’s what I use hunting. 38spl SWC are great for killing...
