Picked up the audiobook of this for commuting time in the car. Very entertaining, and very little to no romanticizing of the characters-and the narrator is excellent (not sure oif it's the author)....

I am in the middle of that series, and enjoying it tremendously. Wynne's first three novels were excellent. I think you'll like Nealan's Gray War series. You should check out his American Praetorians...

I second this. Good product, easy to use. Applied to the stainless front sight of a S&W 640. Use a coat of white, with a coat of the orange on top. It pops pretty good.
