How many rounds does your recoil spring have on it? I can't tell from the picture but my WC Colt has a SWC ramp cut into the throat and it's all I load for it - feeds ball just fine too tho.

I have used bronze wool quite a bit back when I used to collect WWII 1911s. It did a great job of removing live rust and diminishing rust stains, mostly without harming the finish in any way, either...
I had a gunsmith do this for me years ago

I didn't ask how he did it but I assume he cut it down to roughly round and did the remainder on a lathe, unfortunately,...
Thanks for jumping in with correct specs / info!
I can measure those sights if needed.

Lol, happenstance; I made my username the same across the various forums I frequent. My initials and the the year I joined whichever original forum it was, in 2006 (RM06). I wasn't aware of...
The P365 has intrigued me since it entered the market. I finally landed one from a member here with a trade, it is cut for RMRcc and has one installed, suppressor height sights as well. I have put a...
I live out west and hunt elk, mostly with a bow nowadays tho. I own a .300 WSM, it is sub 7 lbs with scope and recoil is manageable with a can, otherwise it is not a fun rifle to shoot. I have been...
I shoot the P07 better than any handgun I've ever fired, by a long shot. I thought a P01 would further enhance shootability but alas it doesn't, I would love to have a red dot on a P07 but it makes...
Not apples to apples but I've seen this guy cheek weld a stockless 12ga

Nice blaster.
I've had opportunities to try out a handful of mid priced 1-6 and one or two 1-8 optics since I acquired my Leupold 1.25-4 VX-R in a LaRue mount back in 2013. I upgraded to a Steiner...
No x81s? I love this one, gets to go to the range frequently

Well, I guess that settles it. This is what I was looking at anyway, the sticker shock of these mounts has been a little... shocking. But that is a healthy discount, I really appreciate you posting it
I picked up a Steiner P4Xi today, now seeking a mount. There are many more options available than when I got into my first Leupold VX-R 1.25-4 many moons ago (still rockin the same QD LaRue LT104). ...
I actually own one and it resides on a rifle full time, I think it's a neat concept. Unfortunately, the previous owner stripped out the aluminum threads on the mount but I had a gunsmith install a...
Maybe IWC?

Huh... I think I will give that try. Thanks for sharing.
You guys rock
Now I need a light...
Getting back into the j-frame game once again and seeking a quality holster. There are a metric shit ton of old/older threads on this topic and 3/4 + of the recommended holster manufacturers no...
Bro, quit spending my money
I am in the process of ordering the M&P 340, no lock, with XS front sight. I don't love tritium sights but at least it isn't a 3-dot configuration and there's...
Thanks for the link!
I have purpose made .357s, those only eat .357s unless my daughter is shooting one. I know the 340 will handle it and you could perhaps see a performance increase ballistically with short barrel...
I tried one of these yesterday at the local shop, just fingerbanging and dry firing, good heavens, I didn't know a real gun could be so light. I didn't find the factory trigger objectionable at all,...
I'm sure it isn't... sweet wheel guns!
Ammo may be a challenge short term. I have some light 124gr .38 Special reloads and some moderately stiff 158gr .357 reloads, I will certainly shoot both and see how they perform. I have 6 124gr +P...
