Ah I see. Well said.
Penultimate?
Otherwise i agree.
The group from an AK is going to open up more than a group from an AR substantially past 200 yards and 300 yards and on and on.
Slammed my post then mostly agreed. Got it.
The common logic is that AKs are horribly inaccurate and ARs are jam o matics. Neither are true.
A decent AK isnt a 10" gun at 100 yards. It is more often a 3-4" gun.
An AR isnt terribly...
Not inaccurate. Not not accurate.
I don't want to say an AK is "accurate".
I don't describe an AR as reliable but as not unreliable.
Words.
Just advocating the AK as a potential carbine...
AK is not inaccurate within 200 yards.
Yes 300 Blackout can act about like a pistol with subs or about like 762x39 with supers. I consider that broad spectrum to be general purpose.
Training costs? Yes 556 wins but that makes me think...
Tavor still popular?
300 Blackout has more energy out of a shorter barrel than 556. It just does.
If that isn't a benefit to you, cool.
I'm not trying to talk anyone out of 556.
It will be interesting to see how...
Bi pod? No way Jose.
Regarding the suppressor issue...300 Blackout (both sub and super does better than 556)
556 ammo for $200\1000?
How far do you want to take this argument? I mean we could probably all make due with an 30 30
Do you use suppressors?
I thought we went over this?
300 Blackout tolerates a short barrel and does very well suppressed.
The overpriced argument has lost legitimacy since the price has dropped.
Mid length gas? I don't get that.
It's kind of the equivalent of some USPSA guy using a race gun that barely runs it has been so modified vs a stock Glock.
Ha! Stop throwing shade!
Should we speak old english? Language changes.
Ive owned a Colt 6920.
Some will say, somewhat accurately, that Colt stopped innovating due to having fat Mil/LE...
People like to hate on Colt but the 6920 is a standard.
You 556 folks checked out 18" barrels?
For 300 Blk the gas length is pistol, 8"-16" barrel
Burris was popular now Vortex seems to be.
Im sure Trijicon is good but I ain't got that long paper son!
Id say not just for my uses but objectively some magnification is needed for a GP carbine. That could be a fixed power or variable power scope.
I do like red dots and consider them practical even...
Indeed.
Ive warmed back up to the AR.
I went AR to Piston AR to Sig 556 to M1A to AK back to AR.
There is a lot to be said for being able to fix your own gun, share parts and mags, go with...
Training is wildly undervalued by many in this world. And often training is held as more of a tourist experience, something to do, than something to learn from and improve upon.
That leads me to...
