On a 1.0 with the serial number plate right where the safety would otherwise be, I don't know of one.
Precisely.
I have two Gen5 G17 pistols. The first one I bought is a laser beam. I've used it to kill squirrels at ridiculous distances, my furthest shot being just under 70 yards. My second gun,...
According to Apex, they have double the amount of extra material on the fitting pad at the bottom and more material at the back of the barrel hood that the semi-drop in barrels have. So it means...
The levers themselves are made of a steel stamping. The positive "click" of the safety comes from the interaction of the angles stamped on the safety lever itself and the detent in the sear block. If...
As best I understand it, the footprint with the two fasteners you highlight there is the footprint of the optic. They ship it with an adapter plate to make it fit an RMR or MOS style optics cut that...

You could be forgiven for thinking that nobody uses revolvers anymore...but Smith & Wesson and Ruger are producing more than half...
I think it's kind of like Les Pauls or pretty much anything from the Gibson custom shop these days. Their customers tend to be people who already own other Gibson guitars and still have sizeable...
I don't think single stack 1911's in 9mm make sense to anyone anymore. With Wilson's EDC based double stack guns seeming to work pretty well and the Stack-A-Toe obsession, if you want a 9mm with 1911...
Keeping with the theme, the NYPost just ran an article based on interviewing an author who wrote a new book after taking the incredibly difficult step of (GASP)...actually looking at prison...
I saw video of one going off as it went back into the holster just today. Multiple witnesses said the shooter's finger was nowhere near the trigger.

The biggest benefit to your typical concealed carrier is going to be a less annoying mounting standard. While I've seen plenty of dots break, I see the mounting fail far more often than I do the...
For me the downside is minimal takeup and you're right on to dropping the sear. If you are using the safety in theory it's more 1911-like.
None that I'm aware of. The new Sampfox "Kraken" comes closest but isn't quite the same.
What I can tell you about the Acro is that it doesn't have any noticeable distortion in the optic window....
I'm pleased to announce that Ashton Ray of 360 Performance Shooting will be joining me to present Shotgun Skills on October 1st.
Ashton is one of, if not the, best coaches working in firearms...
A 1301 with slugs is a great bear gun.
I'd see how it shoots. If it patterns well for you, don't worry about it. If it sucks out loud, try honing the bore, chamber, and forcing cone and see if that makes a difference. I don't know where...
If you have thick, meaty fingers like mine, an angled pick works very well for helping extract a damaged o-ring and installation of the new one. But apart from that it's pretty straightforward.

They're pretty new and only started shipping out a short while ago, so it's probably minimal...
But given that it's still the Magpul Zhukov handguard and that the adapter is a direct rip of the...
At the very least, after the work you'll no longer believe that the gun is the thing holding you back...
My guess is the finish Wilson applies. I don't think they're vibra-honing the guns before they refinish them. Their finish has a fairly high teflon content in it, as best I remember.
In the time between the original life of this thread and this one, I've had the chance to shoot a few Haught model Wilson shotguns and I can tell you that the action runs slicker than owl snot. When...
I received mine today and the bore on mine is extremely clean save for a little bit of plastic fouling right at the forcing cone. Someone actually took time to clean this barrel...although the rear...
AP&W hard chromed a Beretta 92 for me probably close to 20 years ago, now. It came out splendid:

I've seen some of those police trade-in guns going for $250. At that price it's tempting.
On the older guns the non-safety frames have the serial number on the frame right where the plugs would be. I think they sold pro's with the old frames for quite some time with the old style frames....
