Thanks for the plug, Ernest. This forum is what brought me to the PX4 CC, and I had a lot of fun writing that article. By the way, all that needs to be done to subscribe to American Patriots Unsung...
Thanks, Ernest! Was hoping you'd chime in. I haven't had a chance to dig my manual out and check, but I was told that manual advises against "excessive" dry firing. Probably just CYA.
Thanks, good to hear. I'm talking about dry firing without snap caps, however.
Is there any harm in long-term dry firing of PX4 series pistols? I've heard some rumblings that firing pin breakage is an issue with "excessive" dry firing.
Oops, I did it again! 330 rds through #1 and 90 through #2. I'm closing in on you, Ernest!

Yep! Mine went from 10lb/8oz to 8lb/10oz with addition of WC 12 lb chrome silicon spring and still 100% reliable after 150 rds or so. SA remained unchanged, which I was glad about...it was 3lb/9oz...
I attended the NRA Annual Meeting this week in Atlanta. The Beretta booth was proudly displaying both a "standard" PX4 CC and one of the Robar versions with bobbed hammer (Mod 4, I think). Also had...
Damn you people! Up until about 6 weeks ago, I was virtually unaware of the Beretta PX4 Compact's existence. I don't remember ever handling one, and I'd certainly never shot one. Then came an article...
I just spoke with Tony at JMCK today and ordered an AIWB. Great guy! He recommended the AIWB for me over the Wing Claw options (I'm 6'1"/245), and also recommended the neoprene wedge over the "extra...
Thank you!
I think I read all posts regarding a light for the PX4 CC and the upshot seems to be nothing works? Has anyone found a light that DOES work on this little beauty? Sorry if I missed it somewhere...
That's the plastic cover thing that's on the Compact but not the full size, correct? Apparently not really needed if you shot another 2k after removal with no issues?
Wow! Thanks for the response. Gives me confidence to pick up another. I assume still no parts breakage, with standard recoil spring replacement, etc.?
Put another hundred rounds through my PX4 CC today at lunch after installing Wilson 12 lb. Beretta 92 main spring per recommendation of some helpful forum members. Function was perfect and DA pull...
Thank you sir!
I may do that, and I normally would. Just thought that, with all of the multiple-PX4 purchasers on this thread, someone might have firsthand knowledge.
Regarding the PX4 rebate going on through 4/30/17, has anyone found that Beretta will pay the rebate on multiple PX4's purchased during that period, or just on one per buyer?
What are the up to date total rounds per gun at this point? By the way, thanks so much for putting in the time to develop this phenomenal little pistol...I love mine!
Thanks for the reply. I guess I was thinking of the solid steel rod more to avoid breakage issues with the polymer version...then again, you fired tens of thousands or rounds through multiple pistols...
That stippling job is awesome! Wish I had someone locally who could do that kind of work.
These look really nice; hope the PX4 Compact design allows for the steel rod without damage. Mr. Langdon's perspective on the matter would be interesting...
Anyone know of a steel guide rod for the PX4 Compact?
Thanks!
Awesome; thanks! I ordered both a 12 & 13# from Wilson...hopefully they were right.
Wilson's gunsmith said the correct D spring for the PX4 Compact was same as 92; does that sound correct based on your experience?
Thank you, sir!
