Dawson used to make an adjustable M&P rear but it's been discontinued for several years.
Novak's makes a rear that's screw-adjustable for elevation but has to be drifted for windage.

What's the current thinking on comps for the M&P? Seems to be a somewhat confusing landscape of barrel and comp options with no clear favorite.
Looks like the page is back up on Beretta's site, along with a "launch edition" with wood grips and silver finish/black controls. I'm wondering if that's a mix of anodized/stainless/cerakote or...
I believe you're thinking of the 396. 696 was all stainless steel, 3" barrel, adjustable sights, 5-shot on an L-frame.
I'd bet the cult status, and concomitant crazy high prices, of the Smith 696 motivated their decision.
I have no experience with Underwood Ammo, but there are a few other sources of hard-cast .44 Special ammo that might be worth trying. Grizzly Ammo and Buffalo Bore both have good hard-cast offerings....
I would suspect you have undersized cylinder throats and/or some thread choke in the barrel. Got a pin gauge set?
Here's the first published review I've found.
Oddly enough, they're using the dovetailed Novak front sight from the Match Champion instead of the standard quick-change Ruger front sight. A little...
Yeah, I think it is/was an iOS 8 thing, and I think it only happens when you edit photos. Not 100% sure, I'm an Android guy myself :-)
FullSizeRender is an iPhone/iOS naming convention. Not saying the picture's legit, but don't read too much into the filename.
Did you remove the trigger return spring/latch spring from the trigger guard and clean out the hole it fits in? My GP100 had some big metal shavings inside that hole, causing a rough, jerky trigger...
Bowen also makes a click-adjustable rear sight, which would probably be my choice for a gun that will need frequent sight adjustments to accommodate different ammo.
Also, you really can't depend...
I'd suggest a Ruger Bisley Blackhawk, or a Redhawk if you want a DA revolver. The 4" barrel Redhawks feel very well balanced to me.
The stated reason was that new Smiths have the barrels threaded so tightly that they can't reliably be removed without damage.
In the back of my mind, I'm wondering if Mr. Bowen isn't thinking...
Congratulations on owning that magnificent revolver! Is that the one that sold recently on GunBroker?
Hey now, don't forget that the Glock 17L exists. The M is the next logical progression.
The SAAMI standard is going to stay low forever; Colt SAA cylinders are basically paper-thin over the bolt notch, and older guns were made with low-alloy, un-heat-treated steel. They just can't take...
SAAMI pressure limit for the .45 Colt is only 14,000 PSI. That's even lower than .38 Special, which is 17,000. The gun won't even break a sweat.
Here's a 4" Redhawk in .45 Colt, tuned and finished by Mag-Na-Port. In a Milt Sparks HSR holster, it's right at my upper limit for a reasonable belt gun.

Mr. Langdon,
Can you tell us anything about the gun in that picture, and if it will become a production item? Looks like exactly what I want.
My memory was a little fuzzy on the details; Googling for "blaser r93 bolt accident" brings up quite a few references. This forum post references 8 instances of accidents.
I've shot an R93 before,...
There were several reports circulating over the past 10 years of serious injuries to shooters with the older R93. Of course, anyone can blow up a gun if they do something stupid enough, but...
Just got this one back from Mag-Na-Port. It's a TALO limited-edition .44 Special stainless Ruger Blackhawk on the small flattop frame. Ken Kelly did an action job, free-spin pawl conversion, and...
The Redhawk uses a very unusual action with one spring serving as both mainspring and trigger return spring. As a result, you can't really go much lighter on that spring without jeopardizing reliable...
You'll probably enjoy Hamilton Bowen's review of the new five-shot Ruger Bisleys.
He just launched that new online magazine, and one of his contributors is Ross Seyfried. I'm very, very excited to...
