I guess it would help to mention that this was off the bags (that were on my tailgate of my old Land Cruiser) and the distance was 25 yards.

    irons versus dot. Same ammo.

    Fantastic topic.

I need to eventually get around to taking some old 35mm pics and turning them digital. Have a few old cruddy pics of critters from years past taken with .44s and .45s.

I was out on Friday shooting various guns.
Shot the 148 grain Poly Coat WCs through my 6" Security 6.

Pretty dang fun, especially with a red dot!

  9. More 50 yard shooting of the .32 H&R Poly Coated wadcutters.

Now that I knew I was on target and knew how to hold the gun to get the best results I fired and emptied the gun three different times before I walked down to the target. In spite of the fact that I...
  10. 50 yard shooting Lipsey's 432 UC .32 H&R Lost River 100 Grain Poly Coat wadcutters

    Friends,

I went out yesterday and got in some more shooting. Had to test some more of the heavy .45 ACP +P 250 grain poly coat loads I have been working on, so I figured that it was a great...

It is a little to the right, but nothing that I am concerned in the least about.

With 60 rounds down, and 40 to go, I brought it in closer.

    I practiced between 3, 5 and 7 yards.

I sot both hands, strong and wrong hand only.

40 rounds into the head box.

    Friends,

Today I went out to do some more T&E on a .45 ACP 250 grain Poly Coat +P load I have been working on. Absolute Hammer!

    .44 Special

I just put 1K rounds of .44 Special 240 grain SWCs up on the website.

These run right at 900 FPS from a 5" Model 29 and are absolute tack drivers.

Love running these in a 4" Smith or a longer...

I have a 1K plus rounds up on the website now. Forgot to update that here.

  20. Glock 21 Gen 5 with CH RDO. More shooting.

  22. 250 rounds total now. Lipsey's 432 Ultimate Carry J Frame Lost River Ammo

Yesterday's weather was far nicer than the wind storm I tried to shoot in last Sunday.

    I totally agree these days.

One box of regular 148 grain wadcutters in a session is plenty.

But if you want to really enjoy shooting a .38 Special J Frame, the secret is the .38 Short Colt.

    Lex,

    I only shot 150 rds.

So my 442 has a fairly smooth trigger, though not overly light, after years of use and thousands of rounds. The 432 is a bit heavier but is quite smooth. I can't quite...
