Please let us know how it shoots when you get a chance. I yanked the safety out of an M&P 1.0 .45 that was seriously obnoxious. That's obviously not an option here.
You've already got and like a P365, so the answer is P365. This is a perfect case for.modularity---one gun, multiple setups. An XL grip/ slide gives you a little more to.hold onto while still being...
The P229 is
Reliable (I'd bet on a P229 over a 2011 any day)
Accurate (no argument from anyone there)
Light and optics compatible
Portable with the right holster and belt
Anyone shoot a GTS yet? I've handled one and like it a lot but I'm concerned by reports of the levers on SAO 92s wearing on people's thumbs while shooting. I could feel a potential hot spot when...
You say that like it's a bad thing.
I know the 1894 Classic is out but I stumbled across a new 1894 SBL on Gunbroker. Looks like the .44 mag is shipping now with the .357 to follow. https://www.marlinfirearms.com/s/model_70432/
My...
Tisas may be a decent choice for a 1911 (where everything is a crapshoot regardless of price) but there's too many excellent, affordable carry guns right now to go down that path. S&W Shields are...
I'm a big fan of 135 grain gold dots regardless of barrel length but Speer doesn't seem to even be making it right now. It's joined #1 Federal Elite Control as a great but irrelevant load these days.
I'd like to start building up a collection of Old West shooters. Not worried about Cowboy Action or collecting, just for my own enjoyment.
I've got enough fun money to start off with either one...
That's good to know and makes me feel a little better. Thanks!
Revolver day. The more I shoot the Pythons the more I consider them just recreational guns. The 4-inch was a big disappointment, binding up badly with Sellier & Bellot 158 grain .357 and having light...
Out of Darkness. Stone Age horror movie in which a group of nomads arrive in a strange land and encounter...something. Yet another "the monster is us" story but one that leans pretty hard into it...
Recall aside, why is it that Tisas seems capable of building a solid 1911 but their BHP clones are squirrelly?
Rail and optics cut and call it the 2035.
It may be an improvement on the old High Power but right now it doesn't appeal to either the people who want a classic BHP or a modernized BHP.
At some point I'll be getting a six-inch blue model because of Burt Reynolds pulling one out of his sock in the beginning of Sharky's Machine.

I’ve read that one should stick with mild loads in .45 Colt 73 clones but the .357s can handle whatever. Are both those points true?
Barbary pirates
.40 seems a lot more platform dependent than 9mm or even .45.
The Glock 19 may be the standard for a duty/defensive pistol but the Glock 23 is a miserable shooting experience, IMO.
A 5-inch Model 27 has been at the top of my Grail Gun list for a while but I always missed out due to responsible decision making. This time I said the hell with that and went for it. This is a...
I'll bite. What are they and what are they made of?
I've got the 3" and the 4". The extra inch of barrel is very noticeable when managing magnum loads and two vents are better looking than one IMO---and looks are probably 80% of the reason anyone gets...
Hunter did it!
I dated a wonderful Israeli girl who liked shooting my Kimber Pro Carry .45 because she thought it was cute. The same gun turns me into a flinching wuss today.
To my surprise, supersonic .300 Blackout is the second cheapest centerfire rifle caliber at my local Bass Pro and plenty available. Subsonics are still pretty expensive, but no worse than .243 or...
