I think it's worth...
Not an AR nerd (I'm a nerd in other ways so this is no put down), and Larue has apparently gone way up in cost since I got my 16" upper, but after shooting three rounds on a steel target at around...
It was (if I remember correctly) early 2019 or 2020 in San Diego (San Diego PD). Two officers get in a foot pursuit and when they catch the guy a struggle ensues. The suspect ripped the whole ALS...
The holster did not have a thumb snap.
What you saw is not what you think you saw.
What does thumb snap have to do with it…?
I pulled up my info... The screws I use for Holosun (407C/507C/508T footprint) to the Staccato (Dawson) plate are as follows:
McMaster-Carr 6-32 x 3/8" Stainless Steel (IP10 Drive), part number...
When I said “here”, I meant pistolforum. I’m not sure what specific optic thread… that said the screws I use for the Staccato/Dawson DPO plates are McMaster Carr stainless 6-32 but I need to get my...
Yes - it will fit. The screws are different since the Holosun requires shorter screws. If you order the RMR plate you’ll have to find different screws… and they have been discussed at length here.
Not by heart. I can look it up if you want.
I’ve mounted a lot of EPS Carry optics on 365 Macros and others have mounted a lot more based on my instructions.
I first used 10mm screws (since that’s what we used for the 507K footprint) but...
The 1911 is my favorite pistol… but I know it’s not the answer to everything and everyone and like the iconic 1851 Navy of Hickok’s day… Billy the Kid’s Lightning (or Thunderer… not sure), the lever...
It’s a 1911.
Mine works great and has been 100% reliable with 230gr HST and 230gr ball from a bunch of different mags. Yours might not… because it’s a 1911.
But hey… it’s a 1911 so we kinda...
From what I’ve seen from them they do a good job. I want a Nighthawk IOS on my MC Operator but the price point of a Dual Hammer job is really tempting.
Yep.
I've put a decent amount of rounds through 1911s over the years, and I've owned more than a few.
The 1911 is not a firearm for the casual user. You might be lucky and get one that runs 100% out...
The 6280LASD was developed at the request of my former department for a few separate reasons that converged at the same time.
First, the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) was looking for a holster...
It was the 6280LASD. The 280S can be pretty fast but not as fast as the 6280 since with the 280S you have to hit the thumb snap with the thumb and then rotate the hood with your trigger finger. ...
It does. Shooting with my wrong had after decades limits my ability to manipulate my equipment and exercise marksmanship fundamentals. I can shoot long guns with both eyes open now - the question...
1000%
I’m cross dominant. Shoot everything right handed. Handguns get put in front of my left eye. Long guns get a squint from my left eye to help my right eye pick up the sights or better yet...
First, congratulations on an exceptional $300 setup! That's rad.
Your post hits home for me. I've been dealing with lesser and greater elbow/arm stuff (some say tendenitis, others say lateral...
Eleven71 makes a good plate as well but they are pricey - I think worth it but pricey. I’ve also heard very good things about their customer service.
I would consider them compromised. Before you do anything else, carefully remove the screws and check the raised front bosses on the plastic plate. If you caught it early they may still be ok, but...
In my initial post I recommended the Mag Latch... and for me it was great for ARs that had features. In light of other responses here I'll add some more.
I always had one rifle that was...
I would go steel or titanium over aluminum which I’d go with over plastic assuming the plate fits and isn’t too tall. The problem is that a lot of plates either don’t fit or are too tall. I’ve had...
