The trigger on my 340 is very good for a j frame and in my opinion, trigger work is not needed. That being said, the UC trigger is better.
The initial pull is about the same, but at about halfway...
Is the DPP the one from Amazon? That would be a great option if it does allow standard sights with the EPS carry.
Interesting idea, would the use of a plate raise it too high to use standard height sights?
The grips on the UC are excellent. They tamed the perceived recoil significantly and make it possible to shoot a decent amount of regular 130g. I think if they had slightly more texture they would be...
You might want to try several brands of FMJ. I tried a few to find one that hit POA/POI. For some reason most hit high and right for me.
So the dealer was able to get a 642 for me and when I got it home I checked the front sight and it’s dead.
So…I had a 442UC, but after I bought and paid for it through a LGS’s online system it was somehow sold in store. They are unable to locate another one for me, so I might miss out on this run.
With all the interest and the fact that 3 LGS said they couldn’t order one for me, I gave up on getting one in this first release. That is until a 442 popped up today. I’m going to pick it up Monday....
The first LGS I checked said lipsey’s wasn’t allowing them to place orders for these.
So you can tell me where to find a quality SAA clone in 44 spl?

From the limited testing I have done, the 158gr Remington HTP load is a full power load and has quite a bit of recoil in the small to medium guns.
I need the grips from that.
I have a 10-8 that performs similarly, but I wouldn’t know if it’s better than other 10-‘s
I have a 10-8 that’s a real good shooter, who did the work on yours?
Freedom Arms makes some amazing guns. I think the cylinder gap on those is tighter than .003” and they seem to do alright. Too bad you can’t get a 6 shot 44 special.
I keep debating a 44 spec ruger, but trying to justify it when I have a 44 mag already is difficult. Aren’t the frames the same Size on the new models?
9mm is only worth the effort and cost to reload during the price spikes and shortages, but that is best mitigated by stock piling ammo ahead of time and using components for far more costly calibers.
You would think that the warranty would be void if the ammo was determined to be the problem. I have had issues with so called factory ammo as have others, so it’s not like they are immune from...
I thought the video stated it would use the same holsters as the 357 version.
I would think the reduced mass of the commander length slide would hurt reliability. Although, maybe if ammo was kept to no more than 40 +p levels, it could work well.
This seems like a good deal on the 40, which if I recall never had the accuracy issues of the 9s.
The M&P45 is the best shooting and best form factor for a 10-13rd 45acp polymer handgun in my...
That little?
So should I not be resting the butt on anything? Technically, my hand was resting on the bag with the barrel supported by the rest.
I wonder if that’s what’s messing with my ammo testing from a rest? I’m focused so much on the sights and with different power factor loads over a long string of shooting, I know my grip isn’t super...
