Holy crap! Just watched the P239 video a couple months ago which led me to your long form video review of the 229. Had no idea it was your channel. I have enjoyed all of your input and posts on the...
Thanks for sharing the gen 2 photos and info. My favorite Glocks and my first Glock. Really neat how the gun is in essentially mint condition. I gave a relative a gen2 19 around 1994 and he has kept...
Glock should be paying you for this! Makes me want to send a slide off right now! And great shooting BTW.
Do the CR920 mags run in the G43?
Thanks
I have not seen a substantial difference in accuracy between the 2.0's and other SFA polymer guns. I do still find it "easier" to shoot at distances beyond 10-12 yards with Glocks in slow fire, but I...
Yeah I agree. Very ergonomic and the 225 I had was one of, if not the most, accurate pistols that I've owned. Like match grade accuracy. It was also super tight and felt like a custom gun.
It's a shame that Sig doesn't support the original P225/P6 anymore.
My P6 is a hellova shooter for what it is.
I never considered carrying Sig because of the decocker and control all on the one...
Good point and thanks for showing that. That is actually why I only carried one years ago for a small amount of time before going back to a P229. The difference in size was negligible and the 229...
Your welcome and I'm with you on a single stack DA/SA with the "supported" part being critical. I prefer TDA guns for the reasons you stated, holstering, etc. Something along the lines of a G48 size...
Thank you for starting this very interesting thread. You are to be commended for your wise order of priorities and commitment to your family. Protecting and caring for his family is a father’s first...
The QC on the hammer fired pistols is no better. This is the barrel from an unfired, brand new Legion pistol purchased at the beginning of the year. How the hell does something like that go...
One of the softest shooting .45's and, along with the G30, one of the most accurate Glock models. As stated above, change out the springs (recoil and trigger) and your good to go.
The 226 was the gold standard for reliability, durability, accuracy and great triggers right out of the box. Their stock barrels are some of the best in the business even still under the Cohen...
Does the standard P-series strut seat fit and work in the P6 or does it require some kind of modification to install? The old style, with the retaining roll pin, sucks to deal with.
I have recently been trying out the 18 lb hammer spring in a P226 with the short extractor. So far, with about 500 rounds of a mixture of Tula and Blazer Aluminum cased 115, it has been reliable. I...
No, your not. Been shooting Glocks since 94'. My original gen 2 guns are still the best shooting/triggers on any Glock's I've handled. They have crisp walls that are predictable. Have a couple of...
I agree and also prefer the full grip of the 2.0 compact over a G26 sized gun. Reloads are much faster and less complicated/training intensive. With AIWB carry the little extra length in the grip is...
Nope. I wished I could have back then with those gen 2’s, but it was my duty gun. I do carry gen 3 and gen 4 guns both on and off duty by choice but have over the last couple of years been...
I pretty much came to the same conclusion many years ago after experiencing similar issues as the OP but during training and not an actual shooting event, TTL. Like the OP, that was with a gen 2 gun,...
I have been carrying the same gun in a JMCK AIWB rig for the last several weeks without issue. I have the 2.0 compact and it's my normal off-duty carry but I just don't find there to be that much...
KevH nailed it. NO way to truly duplicate the stress of life or death situations and split second reactions from all kinds of positions and situations. Train on clearance drills, both hands, one...
Can't say that I have seen a lot of malf's in guns used in suicides. I have however, seen quite a few in SD cases and OIS-UDF situations/investigations. In fact, we were seeing an inordinate amount...
Good to know. I agree on the .40 in the M&P. It was built around that caliber and they seem to shoot and handle that round well.
Thanks for the response. A sister agency here had the same rust issues with the early versions.
