Along the lines of reloading a shotgun from an empty gun to first round fired. Has anyone compared the times of loading an empty shotgun to first round fired, using the fastest technique based on a...
Does the Pro-Lifter alteration cause any issues when port loading?

Thanks Captain Aridus… 👍 I had read or heard you in a podcast recently, where you mentioned the testing you had done since you knew it would be heavier and wanted to make sure that wasn’t going to be...
Jumping on the bandwagon, I’ve installed the Aridus charging handle and so far like it a lot. It’s larger size, and cupped and engraved surfaces allow for any finger or edge of a palm to easily cycle...
That was me looking for this video, and that is the video I had in mind. Thank you much… 👍
Dang! Another good idea.
I’ll try that as I have two of those Magpul stocks on my TacSol rifles. They are thinner pads however, and thus would not cushion the blows as much as the SGA pads… 😢
Great idea…
Great job. I don’t have a belt sander, so I may try it just using the sandpaper and WD40. Thanks for the tip…
I just adorned my favorite gal with these two pieces of jewelry. The Blitzkrieg front sight and the Master Class charging handle. Still have a range test to follow:
A question for anyone that has done this to their SGA stock’s recoil pad. Have you shaved down the top corner to allow for less snagging on clothing when shouldering the weapon? How did it work out...
I thought we weren’t supposed to lube the gas piston area, including the mag tube… 🤔
Perfect. Thanks so much.
Tim
Thanks Centerfire. So the tube is held in there with Loctite or similar adhesive? And did you have any issues with installing the new tube?
I recall a YouTube video I saw some months back. The guy in it was a 3 gun competitor that had worn a deep gouge on the outside of the magazine tube where the piston rubbed it raw from so many...
Yes indeed, it does. If anything, it functions better because it is less likely to be accidentally pressed. Other than cost, I don’t see any downsides to this style of lifter.
That’s what I learned from this, my first gun maker FDE experience. I wanted and like, the Black and Tan look, favoring the Magpul “Tan”. I decided to try the FDE gun and the black stock and black...
Thanks. That’s good to know. 👍
I don’t know much about Cerakote, this was my first gun that had a “coating” of whatever it is. I’ve noticed it comes off with the slightest of abrasion, and never been happy about that. I’ve also...
So, I put the wrong Velcro side on the receiver, and had to rip it off. It took the Cerakote right off with it. 🤬 I guess I’m married to the notion of a side saddle after all, LOL. Oh well…
Thank you, kind sir. 👍
If I didn’t brain fart so much, I’d have remembered the receiver is anodized aluminum, duh… 🤓 I feel better about adding this now.
Well, this sounds like expert advice, so I’ll take it. Thanks so much… 👍
Help experienced experts here… 😳 I bought two Vang Comp side saddle shell holders and now I’m getting cold feet about putting the Velcro backing on my 1301 Tac. Here’s my concerns:
1. Will moisture...
Actually, the 2.75” measurement is for the hull without any crimp on it, either un fired new or fired old. Thus, various loaded, unfired shells can vary in actual length…
