I've carried Warren Sevigny black sights for years. I prefer ramped front sights. They're a fine option if black is what you want.
Actually, they are only making them in 9mm and .45 now. The website hasn't been updated. The .40 model was discontinued, which is too bad because it was the right caliber for USPSA SS. Good thing I...
I've used mine for two years. Perfect fit, well thought out, dirt cheap, and no wait. Most importantly, it doesn't double the gun's width like traditional pocket holsters. It's a winner.
I prefer .100 width for service length slides. Anything wider than .115 is an impediment to precision on any length slide imho.
Black sights are awesome! I wouldn't run anything else-- and I used FO and hi-vis fronts for years. The sight picture is just so clean. And to put your fears at rest, my speed remained the same. A...
I would hazard to say most states are similar to TN. Arizona law states that it's unlawful "For any person in possession of a firearm while on the licensed premises of an on-sale retailer to consume...
I carry everyday, everywhere I legally can. The only time I don't carry is when I know I'll have a drink at a bar or restaurant. That's usually every weekend-- I'm in my twenties after all. Of...
I've tried a few different combinations over the years. In my experience, you have to balance handling with accuracy. For example, 6" 2011s have nice sight pictures, but tend to "wobble" and suffer...
Very observant. That does indeed appear to be a prototype slide. I'm happy to see progress!
Well, we're three months into the new year. Any updates on this project?
I don't know, man. While the Hudson is an interesting design, it's no 2011. The example I played with didn't impress me-- the trigger was garbage, and isn't that the main selling point? Ergos were...
If I were you I'd avoid that cesspool and drive to OKC, Malabar, Volusia, or Universal. Heck, drive straight across and shoot at WAC. There are a lot of awesome clubs in Florida. Don't be afraid to...
Instead of going super wide, have you considered shields? I have half-shield thumb safeties on a few of mine. They're made by Double-Tap Sports and seem to be a happy medium between huge extensions...
Double Tap
I was in the market for a factory .40 1911 for USPSA SS. The usual go-to was the STI Trojan... to my horror the .40 Trojans were discontinued this year. You know the .40 market is taking a hit when...
That's what my Glock AC instructor told me a few days ago. According to *him* the G5 is carrying over some of the 42-43 spring changes. Guess we'll find out shortly.
I'm not trying to stir the pot, but I did have a bad Aero lower. I bought a stripped Gen 2 from Primary Arms in 2016. The width at the pin holes was too narrow on the left side. Functionally, I doubt...
Thanks! It was built by Derek at Millennium Custom. He's an outstanding gunsmith-- great attention to detail. It flat out runs too!

17706 17707 Any 2011 love?
Hear, hear!
But while we're discussing it.... Flip and press? Same thing as resetting in recoil, no? Coming off the trigger after the shot breaks and re-prepping. Just don't call it trigger...
Heck, I don't know. Rowing a paddle sounds like a better description to me. I think we're getting caught up in analogies here. Does it really matter how it feels if you don't disturb the sights?

Okay, okay :) Well, I wouldn't say I'm a DA/SA expert by any stretch, but at one point I made Prod GM with a CZ. I don't fundamentally disagree with anything he's teaching here. That's pretty much...
If that's ammo related recoil, then someone better have slipped him 9mm Major. There's no way, even with +P. LAV needs to tighten up.
COC grippers gave me some wicked tendonitis. But then again, I was overdoing it for sure. I also wasn't exercising the rest of my upper body at the time.
Honestly, I don't think they are truly...
For what it's worth, I ended up buying the Sandman-S. Dead Air has a free muzzle device promotion through December. That put the price on par with the Omega, which also includes two muzzle devices....
