What ammo are you shooting?
What weight is the stock recoil spring in a 40 cal 226?
What weight spring do you recommend for shooting light loads (USPSA minor)
I like to take new shooters to the range. I picked up a...
DA isn't that hard to train for. Just do some dry fire regularly. I prefer a decocker gun for defense. When holstering the gun, I have my thumb on the hammer. I'm not a fan of Glock Leg. ...
When you order from CGW, tell them you want them to go back to the goofy gator logo.
I forgot the firing pin retaining spring. Shadows don't have them. Get the CGW spring steel one. To help with firing pin related problems, put an oring on the firing pin where the hammer hits.
I've been taking a spare CZ to matches or classes for 18 months. I've never used it.
Handgun? Rifle? What are you training for?
Have you been doing dry fire through the Winter? That might drive your plan.
Regardless of the answer to above, I'd do accuracy work. I'm a...
For anyone who shoots high volume with a CZ, the conventional wisdom is that they need to replace trigger return spring and slide stop on a regular basis. The stock TRS has terrible reliability. ...
I think the were last produced in 2014. They were still on the CZ-USA web site 2 years ago.
If you like the gun, buy it. I own 4 CZs, including a plastic framed model. CZ hasn't made a crap...
It is a developmental dead end because it was discontinued without an evolutionary replacement.
I shoot an SP-01 in USPSA. Manual decocking, at the range, is fine. I don't like doing it at home. I have a P-07 and love it for defense. The omega trigger allows safety or decocker. I...
You might want to check out the Clackamas County Public Safety Training Center. Mr. White, famous on this forum and a fabulous shooter, is a highly regarded instructor.
One more plug for Mr White. He usually wins Limited where I shoot USPSA. USPSA is a way to solve problems with a gun. I shoot to get better and have fun. I like the competition. If your...
I'm a fat old guy who will probably never win Production, even at a local match. I regularly win Senior, from among the 3 of us who show up. In matches, I'm really competing against myself. I...
I've shot 15k of these. Great value.
Shoot Limited minor in your first few matches. Learn safety and the basics before you need to reload 4 times in one stage.
Before I started handloading, I liked Freedom Munitions re-manufactured the best for my CZ competition gun. I also ordered re-manufactured ammo from Automatic Accuracy. I particularly liked their...
Good choice. 16 years ago, my wife and I were living in San Jose Ca. We decided it was no longer a fit place for human habitation and asked ourselves where in the world we wanted to live. I'm...
Case feeder adds about 75 rounds an hour, for 9mm on my 550.
How about the "Gamer". Has latest FOTM competition pistol. Sneers at anyone who doesn't shoot .13 sec splits. Will be "killed in the streets" because he unloads and clears after all the...
I'm a fan of doing drills by time, not counting reps. Steve Anderson recommends this. I set my cell phone timer for a few minutes and then do the drill. I focus on the drill, not the number of...
