The trigger on my 340 is very good for a j frame and in my opinion, trigger work is not needed. That being said, the UC trigger is better.

Is the DPP the one from Amazon? That would be a great option if it does allow standard sights with the EPS carry.

You might want to try several brands of FMJ. I tried a few to find one that hit POA/POI. For some reason most hit high and right for me.

So the dealer was able to get a 642 for me and when I got it home I checked the front sight and it’s dead.

So…I had a 442UC, but after I bought and paid for it through a LGS’s online system it was somehow sold in store. They are unable to locate another one for me, so I might miss out on this run.

With all the interest and the fact that 3 LGS said they couldn’t order one for me, I gave up on getting one in this first release. That is until a 442 popped up today. I’m going to pick it up Monday....

The first LGS I checked said lipsey’s wasn’t allowing them to place orders for these.

From the limited testing I have done, the 158gr Remington HTP load is a full power load and has quite a bit of recoil in the small to medium guns.

Freedom Arms makes some amazing guns. I think the cylinder gap on those is tighter than .003” and they seem to do alright. Too bad you can’t get a 6 shot 44 special.

I keep debating a 44 spec ruger, but trying to justify it when I have a 44 mag already is difficult. Aren’t the frames the same Size on the new models?

9mm is only worth the effort and cost to reload during the price spikes and shortages, but that is best mitigated by stock piling ammo ahead of time and using components for far more costly calibers.

I would think the reduced mass of the commander length slide would hurt reliability. Although, maybe if ammo was kept to no more than 40 +p levels, it could work well.
