This is very common. Some switch sides as you have, others just find a spot off-center of the body to position the buckle area. There is a sweet spot for every belt, it seems.
Mine w a frequent...
I find that the 3-stitch level of stiffness is better. Maybe even a smidge less rigid would be even better, but it gets the job done.
If you shoot Glock, buy an Eidolon kit. It's really a great way to figure out what works for you and what doesn't.
If you don't shoot Glock, read all the stuff and see what seems to work best for...
His Facebook and Instagram will give you a better idea of the holsters than the DSG website.
Please don't. It just isn't a good holster.
IMO, there are only 3 holster designs I've seen recently that transition well between strong side and AIWB roles:
RCS Eidolon. If you carry a Glock,...
Yup. Trial and error.
I also like to run the pouch up front with the gun. I find on the less fore wedge holsters, like a. George or my CDA2, I can put the mag wherever, but with a full wedge...
Firefighterguy,
Is that a standard or slim Atlas?
I have more trouble with bulge on the reinforced belts and stiffies like the standard Atlas. Most have a sweet spot, but you'll have to play...
I hate all of those with an intense passion. Get out your sanding drums!
If you haven't yet, I seriously suggest trying a few different stiffness belts. A small variation in the way the belt...
I will concede that a grappling gi and sturdy bball shorts were the best at retaining these clips in my experience, they still were not good enough for me. Other pants tested included jeans, chinos,...
I love Spencer, I love his original Keeper design...
But I have to say this: that clip is not designed to be used without a belt. It MAY work without one on some specific pants, but it will...
It can act as a wave-like feature, but for me it is an additional thumb stud for when I wear gloves.
As to firefighterguy, I think the 26 will still feel lumpy compared to your single stack. It's...
It's actually my own handiwork. Similar to stuff that Tom at DSG has been doing for a while if I understand correctly.
It has an extended muzzle area to control belt flopping, a small foam wedge...
Is it the grip or the slide profile you are finding trouble with the G19?
If it's the grip, the 26 will conceal better. If the slide, likely not so.
When wearing more fitted clothing, I...
For me it depends on the gun a lot. With a P30 I like close to the center line, just about straight drop. I keep the ride relatively high and wear my pants at actual waist instead of hip level, and I...
I had I messed up ab muscle on my strong side from a rough fall a year back. Made my usual aiwb position impossible. I wound up carrying in a slight cross draw config. More of an 11 o'clock aiwb than...
