That's how it should work--Unfortunately for me, the LGS I am most friendly with/have the best relationship with is not a real high-volume Dealer, so my guess is that he's not real high on "The List"...

I think SCARCITY is what drove the Price on this one, versus Condition--I'm with you, it's hard for me to justify that kind of Coin for something that's not REAL CLOSE to Pristine...

I'm.not sure what Mr. Peters called that modification, but Rick Devoid calls it the "Powder Eater", and will perform the mod on S&W, Ruger and Taurus Revolvers...

If there are no problems with the Blued Barrels why don't they use MIM Barrels on Model 19's, 27's & 29's? It's because MIM Barrels won't stand up to the increased pressure of Magnum rounds...

The article says the ONLY Barrel that's MIM'ed is for the Model 36--They can't MIM Stainless or .357 Barrels because of the increased working pressures over the lowly .38 Special, apparently...

I don't think there's any MIM in the "Regular-production" one-piece Barrels--AFAIK, they are still Forged and then Rifled by ECM, where in the " Old Days" the rifling was cut with a Broach...Don't...
