That doesn't surprise me at 50 yards. You should see a big accuracy difference the further out you go. I handload the 62 grain Gold Dots and they shoot under an inch at 100 yards out of my bolt gun...
It sounds like the mainspring is lighter in the Wilson kit. You could swap the original one in to see if that gets it back to where you want.

For bulk ammo, I would still do a CZ 457 in some flavor, probably a Varmint or American, but a Ruger American is decent.
