Forgot to mention the ejection pattern. Some of the brass came back directly at us or on top of my head. The vast majority was to the right at about 4 to 5 O'Clock. That was with my somewhat light...

My wife and I tried it this morning. I really like it. The trigger is not as nice and light as the ones on our Gen 3 20s, but still quite nice. The only thing that I'll do to the trigger is file the...
I just picked up one today from their second production run. I think this may become my favorite pistol. For those of you worrying about ejection issues and brass hitting your forearm, face, or head,...
I have had great experiences with Spike's Tactical rifles. Certain models or separate lowers/uppers are available from Primary Arms at very reasonable prices. I have dealt with John at Spike's and...
Mine too. Speer, however, does not recommend their 147 gr bullets for barrels longer than 10". Not just their Gold Dot, but their TMJ also. So, it seems it is not a concern with over expansion....
I am seeing much larger velocity gains out of my 16" barreled AR9. For example:
Glock 19
Speer Lawman 115gr 1163 fps
Handload 3.5gr Sport Pistol 147 gr coated cast 947 fps
AR9
I am seeing about 140 to 150fps increase when going from a Glock 19 to one of my PSA AR 9s with 16" barrels. This is using my handloads using Alliant Sport Pistol and a 147gr grooveless coated cast...
My wife and I have four 42's. The one that I carry has about 3500 or maybe over 4000 rounds thru it. This one was test fired by Glock in March of 2014 and has the older slide stop lever. I filed it...
It says "New Model" on his Blackhawk, so it has the transfer bar.
Screws tend to loosen, particularly on the ejector rod housing. I use some blue Loctite on all of them as well as the rear sight pin.
I don't know for sure. Charter Arms now nitride treats some of their revolvers. A number of parts can't be treated such as springs and the trigger. The springs won't withstand the heat and the sear...
It was about 5 weeks.
Those are some very warm loads. It is amazing that the Buffalo Bore load generates that velocity out of a 3 3/4" barrel :D I think I remember Jeff Quinn shooting some out of a Bisley in his video...
I just spoke to the guy who worked on my Bisley. He mentioned small areas can become to brittle and chip, so maybe safer not exposing the threads on the barrel and frame.
Very nice. What is the cylinder loaded with? That looks like a nice load, about as long an OAL that will work and a very WFN.
The holster is from Rob Leahy, https://www.simplyrugged.com/index.cfm. It is the "Loaded Pancake". I believe he stopped making this particular version with the cartridge loops on the body of the...
Olong,
Not sure if they pulled the barrel. I may give them a call when I have a moment and find out. Yes, I have had the same understanding regarding stainless that if it is not done correctly it...
I had my Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley nitride treated by WMD Guns. They call it Nitromet (Melonite). I was carrying it regularly, particularly on days when I go the range. It was developing a few...
The only issue I have had with Brown Bear, or other cheap Russian ammo, is the occasional hard primer. Usually fires on the second strike. Maybe that could be good tap, rack, & fire training for you?...
My wife and I have approaching 6000 rounds or perhaps more thru four Glock 42's. The one that I carry is approaching 4000 rounds or so. That one has never had a malfunction that is not ammo related....
Ha! Yes, I knew your opinion regarding pcc's. I've been of the opinion that any of the good 9mm loads on your list would be driven too fast out of a 16" barrel. Maybe the Gold Dot's would hold...
That is one of the things that would concern me regarding a PCC, would an expanding bullet work well at the higher velocities? Or, would a non-expanding bullet work better.
Can you tell us further...
I replaced the RSA in my highest round count 42 at about 3,500 rounds. It was not at failure, and no issues with functioning. However, it did begin to seem a tad looser fitting and I decided to err...
A national reciprocity law is the most likely to pass and easiest to write. Won't infringe on more conservative state's current laws. Whatever applies to you in your home state, applies to you...
Great info, thank you. I just purchased 800 rounds at some great prices. Is the POI much different than with M193?
