Definitely agree.
In my experience and opinion, yes.
I stand corrected and will never, ever weigh in on the 1911 again or even mildly insinuate that feel like I can manipulate one when I am in the middle of a fight or injured.
Problem?
Seems like you are determined to make this personal.
Is your problem with me, or just people over the age of 50?
As I often am prone to do, I did not clearly make my point.
I did not mean that I believed a 1911 is hard to shoot, or even that other people were claiming a 1911 is hard to shoot.
I did not...
THUMBB. That's correct, isn't it? Ambidextrous thumbb safeties.
As for booming . . . .
Poet Warrior is booming. I even agreed that he is correct. The 1911 should not be the choice for the...
I have heard it repeated endless times that due to the thumb safety and grip safety on a 1911, it is difficult to learn/master and utilize the appropriate manual of arms for the pistol.
You pick...
Can I like a quote 5 times?
I thought about composing some witty reply to this video.
But then decided to just simplify it . . . . . .fuck this asshat.
Just saw this on another forum:
CZ issued a safety warning for their CZ 600. https://cz-usa.com/

At the risk of offending Wiley Clapp Commander fans, I am at a total loss trying to figure out the purpose of the abbreviated and almost unusable thumb safety.
Wonder what was going through...
The 3" EMP I spoke about in Post #8 in this thread now has a round count of just over 1000 now, still with no reliability/functionality issues. I purchased some spare lightly used EMP magazines off...
This.
And at least in AZ, there requirement of being near a metro area doesn't seem to apply.
My wife and I recently sold our mountain home in the north central part of AZ (2 hours from Phoenix -...
If the home was located in the greater Phoenix, AZ area, it wouldn't have lasted 24 hours before it was sold for cash well over the asking price following a fierce bidding war by buyers.
If looking for a lightweight commander, I strongly suggest you at lease assess and consider the offerings from Dan Wesson.
I can't believe this thread is into page 2 snd 11 posts and there have been no mentions whatsoever of a light as part of EDC! Did I miss it somewhere?
I'm way out of my league here, but hav been following this thread with interest.
Anytime there is a discussion of .308/7.62 "battle rifles", I seldom see the Daniels Defense DD5V4 rifle included....
Around 1989, I purchased a 1911 Colt Government model .45 ACP pistol at a gun show in Mesa, AZ. The pistol had been built by Tom Kilhofer of TK Custom. He was at that time one of the "American...
As the new rules are written, it would appear that the use of an SCD is not allowed on a pistol in the SSP Division.
But then, many IDPA rules are typically a mystery wrapped in an enigma, subject...
If I could like this twice, I would.
Yes, Joyce is Joyce Wilson.
I shoot very few USPSA matches and a lot of IDPA matches, so I can't fairly draw a comparative analysis of how much the rules of USPA are discussed at their matches...
Thanks for this information. I guess most of the CZ's from CZC and CGW have always been illegal in IDPA SSP Division. It will be interesting to see if anything changes regarding enforcement.
You certainly may be correct, and I certainly hope you are.
A continuing problem I (and several other IDPA shooters I know) have encountered with the IDPA rules is their interpretation.
Can you...
