The 38 wadcutters out of the M-10 felt like a 22. The 9mm HST was a little snappy out of the steel SP101 but easily controllable.
I found some old chrono data. All from a S&W 442.
38 special...
I chronographed some revolver ammo the other day.
38 Special Federal 148 grain wadcutters went an average of 656 fps out of a 4" Model 10.
9mm Federal 147 HST went an average of 1002 fps out...
I'm probably going to end up trying one of these. I'm pretty sure I want a 2 inch. It looks like they have the pinned front sight also.
I need a new trim mower. We have a lot of trees that I can't get under with the Kubota with roll bar. Thinking about a self propelled EGO. Leaning toward electric over gas.
Will the 856 take the same grips as an 85?
Cool.
My best is around 2.5 with either speed loaders or moon clips. I've only ever timed my self live fire. My timer won't register dry fire.

Hogue rubber grips for me. Anything else raps the base of my thumb. The Hogue wooden grips in my avatar are only for pictures. They hurt me. :(
I dropped a PPK off the bed one time. I think it cycled the slide, cocked the hammer and chambered a round. Pretty scary.
I've shot a lot of the Montana Gold 147 CMJ. Good bullets. I switched to Bayou because they were cheaper.
My Randy Lee 625 at 4.5# was mushy. I couldn't get a good feel with it. In my opinion it was too light for me.
I've been a Toyota fan since my first new 1977 Corolla. I've had several since. In 2014 I bought a new AWD Sienna van and drove it up until a few months ago when I passed it on to my grand daughter...

Gotta be a smooth even pull. It doesn't have to be super light.
I had Randy Lee do a competition only 625. Double Action was 4.5# I think. That was too light for me. I had him do a Model 10 that...
I don't remember his real name. I was on a revolver squad with him at the USPSA Nationals one year.
IIRC WalterMitty was pretty heavy into getting the most out of the 625s. I think I remember him doing cylinder swaps etc.
Several years ago, when people were shooting a lot of 625s in USPSA, they started having problems with Skip Chambers. The cylinder stop notches in the cylinder would peen. They were replacing the...
Nobody has mentioned Ruger Blackhawks.
However, if you want a double action, I agree that a GP100 is probably the best choice. I say that even though I am pretty much a Smith & Wesson K-Frame guy.
Customer service number is right there on the side. ;)
That's how they ruined Revolver division. :(
I had a '97 4Runner. Great vehicle. On mine, the rear bumpers were rusting through and the bottom of the rear hatch was rusting. I had to get a van to haul all the kids and I sold it to a buddy. He's...
https://www.backwoodshome.com/ I used to read this magazine all the time. There were articles about water sometimes.
Some of your questions can only be answered when your location is determined....
I agree with BBI. Rugers are the Glocks of the snubbie world. ;)
Use a fine file on the sharp edges.
Took me a minute. I had to say it out loud. :)
That's pretty awesome. :)
