Did anyone bring up the PX4 in 40 yet? They are (were?) dirt cheap at one point. I snagged my LE trade in for $199. Its a great pistol, even in 40

Makes a lot of sense to do it that way, but sounds like it will cost significantly more to build than a complete pistol.
AWESOME!
I'm sure others will chime in, but I believe 12# is the lowest recommended for the 92 platform from a reliability standpoint, although in a competition setting (versus potentially defensive use), you...
Man, Ernest's quarantine hair has gotten really long!
;)
Just saw this, wonder how it would handle a slim carry piece?

Just checking in here. I've had a PX4 in .40 for about a year now. Purchased it dirt cheap as a police trade in, and mainly to use as a MantisX dryfire trainer, and I wanted a .40 for variety. I...
I thought I scored a good deal for $199 w no mags. $150 for any modern quality piece, in functioning condition, in any caliber, is a smoking deal!
FWIW, I ride (MTB is my preference, but roadie tends to happen more) as much as I can, and around me (rhymes with "haltimore"), there is a lot of crossover between urban commuter types and hardcore...
Awesome feedback, you sold me! Pulling out my BCBS card now, as that would be a huge win if its the case for my policy as well!

Super old thread, but I'm researching the Fenix 6 series currently, and glad JodyH, et al gave their thoughts, as the 6 should equal the 5, just newer. Will be used for MTB, hiking, backpacking,...
I've never heard of either, what are Hi Grips? Or did you mean the hip grips with the built in belt clip?
Looks like these are good honest wheelies, great deal!
I'd like to ask a hopefully relevant question regarding hammer springs:
Is there any effect on recoil when dropping weight on the hammer spring, negative or otherwise? I don't put nearly the...
Very tempting, but fortunately (unfortunately?) I already have that exact model. And it is a fantastic shooter!
EL - I'm in for 2!
Great modification! The Pachmary compacs were always my favorite j frame grips. These chopped ones might be a great alternative

Who did your battleworn finish job? :p
I absolutely love a piece with real honest wear!
Love the restoration work!
Since my 92 is purely a range piece, I have a pile of surplus GI mags (in addition to a handful of better quality mags). They seem to work fine, at least in my usage. Obviously I wouldn't use them...
I have been very tempted by the T9, its a great feeling pistol. The Kahr triggers are great if you're OK with the pull length. Very smooth for sure.
I get the appeal, definitely.
Looks like they're backordered already at the 1st sale link. Wonder how many were available total?
Yeah that makes total sense. Oh well

This idea came up on a P&S Modcast at some point, and I think its brilliant.
Walk into your LGS, say "I want a 320". They pull out a trigger group, there you go. Then they pull out all the grip...
