Great to hear that worked for you.
FWIW, I switched to the AMG Lab timer.
Really really need that review mode to show splits, not time. As is, it’s not useful.
Was also using it with a small group today in practice and it was great except for that.
+1
Also, check out Stoeger’s ‘practical accuracy’ and ‘doubles’ drills. Ie just shooting a single shot at a time only goes so far.
Would be nice but starts specify audible and people who can’t hear won’t be able to hear RO commands.
Stickers ftw!
Seriously, I’m getting asked about it at every match and practice.
Used it in today’s uspsa match.
Light rain made no difference.
Used sensitivity level 5 and no problems picking up normal pcc shots. Didn’t notice it pick up anything from the other bays.
...
Yes.
Though I actually set the fixed portion to 2 seconds so I have time to get set for the draw.
RO’d the uspsa practice stage today.
The first thing others asked was how well it does in the rain. So you can see how people’s experience with other timers has marred them. :-)
People also...
I practiced unloaded table starts on an open, outdoor public range this afternoon.
I started with sensitivity level 5 and it picked up everything nearby.
I put the timer on the table and on...
I agree on all of these.
Got it today. Love the small form factor and build quality vs the competition.
Using tek-lok on guga ribas competition belt.
I like the Velcro hack but rather do multiple runs and then review...
That sucks. My condolences.
That said, there are lots of clubs/ranges that have this kind of equipment.
Ouch, that sucks.
However, you should get out more. :-)
Try ranges/clubs that do action events like uspsa/ipsc and 3-gun.
Yes.
Absolutely. I concur on all counts. I actually have and use both.
People have so many wives tales in this hobby.
Why don't you take the co-ax to the range?
FYI... There's a guy who sells replacement jaws which have a captive spring setup. Makes it trivial to switch.
Dillon doesn't make anything as high quality as the Co-Ax. Lol
I like the Straight Eights.
Has anybody tried the XS "lollipop" standard dot size?
Can you explain how this is a valid scientific test?
Weaponshield has also done this sort of thing and yet there's also some videos floating around calling this contraption "the one armed bandit"...
Spy mode is something you start and then have 3 seconds to move your hands to the start position. Any movement after that starts the clock.
You can configure it to register shots based on sound...
Ah but in terms of assessing the statistics, the "why" of someone who hasn't had a serious accident yet matters. Are they people who train to deal with the atypical occurrences, take care of their...
That sounds like management and process failure.
The rule in ops is: "Don't trust anyone who hasn't brought down the site."
If they make the same mistake more than once then management has failed...
