Wanted to give everyone an update. This has been a 3-4 month project with a bunch of run around.
I sent my slide to CH Precision and had my slide milled for a MOS cut. The rear sight dovetail...
It's going to a good home. I promise to post pictures of it in the wild!
Anyone here still in the game?
Chris wants it bad.
I finally took the plunge. I'm running a Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS with a Holosun RDS and am loving it. I have a customized Glock 17 gen 4 with a standard slide. I would like to get the slide milled.

I agree with you about the technology not being ready yet. I'm going to stick with irons for duty. Probably pick up a Glock MOS to familiarize myself with the red dot. There's a push with our tac...
Good question about irons vs irons. I'm on the upper end. Sounds like I need to commit and buy a red dot mounted pistol. Thanks to everyone that responded. I was hoping to save $1000. Not gonna...
I don't own a pistol with a red dot. I'm trying to determine if the juice is worth the squeeze. I have shot red dot pistols with other instructors. I shoot my iron sighted handguns better and...
Thanks for running that test JoshS. What I'm experiencing is parallax due to a poor grip on the pistol. With iron sights, even with a poor grip, as long as my front sight is in the rear notch I...
I’ve been able to replicate the above with a Trijicon RMR 2, Trijicon SRO, and a Holosun.
Joshs...I'm referring to exactly to what you spoke about in your first paragraph. If one's presentation/grip is poor it is relatively easy to miss a small target. What are remedies to this?
Several co-workers have purchased Glocks and Sig p320s with RMR and other slide mounted red dot optics. We are in the process of having pistol red dots approved as an optional item. I have been...
I use JM Custom Tricon IWB mag pouch exclusively. It used to be up on their page. Tony was still making them as of this past fall.
I have a Glock 17 Gen 4 that I bought when the model was released. It had approx. 45,000 rounds through it and I have always noticed that it was significantly less accurate than my other G17 and G34...
I guess that I'm a glutton for punishment. I picked up a Smith 340 PD this afternoon. I couldn't resist. LOL It should arrive next week, along with a case of ammo.
LOL! I guess it was like that Jody H.
I'm mandated to carry a 135 JHP+P gold dot. I could tell immediately that this gun wasn't going to work for me without a lot of work. I've had a PM9 before...
Sooo..I went and shot 5 rounds of 158 LHP +P out of a 340 today. No thanks!
I immediately bought a Kahr PM9. Had one years ago that I never should have sold.
Thanks to everyone that...
Besides caliber, is there any major difference between the 340 and 342?
What are everyone's thoughts? Will prices on older Pythons fall or hold?
Thanks Jody H. You have sold me on one.
I've carried a Smith 642 J frame as a backup for the majority of a LE career. About 2 years ago, I switched to a Kahr P380 due to my ability to shoot it considerably better at distance. My...
Now my dilemma. I bought one off of Gunbroker and went to my local gun shop to run the paperwork today. The M15-4 appears to have never been fired. Only 3 chambers appeared to have been fired,...
Thanks for the advice. I dropped the hammer on one.
Thanks everyone. This one is pretty clean. Looks like it was shot a couple of times and put away in the sock drawer.
Thanks. I grew up reading articles by Massad Ayoob, Jan Libourel, and Dave Arnold. Always wanted one of these.
