Of the three stiffness options, which is the go-to choice for AIWB? Do you want more flexible or more rigid, or in the middle?
Thanks again to all for the advice. I’m looking at picking up this BCM upper, and it seems I need to select a charging handle and muzzle device.
Based on the philosophy of this thread, which ones...
I live in the suburban outskirts of a city—fairly spread out single-family homes on a quarter-acre, with some woods nearby. Typical wood frame/drywall construction.
Agreed. Needing to use a...
This has been an awesome thread—thanks to all. Sounding like a BCM RECCE-16 LW is probably the way to go, but honestly that 6960 for $1,100 is compelling. Not clear if the BCM is $400 better.

I’m reasonably proficient with handguns, but have never gotten into long guns. Now that I own a home, I’m thinking it’s time I have something. I’m buying with general self/home defense in mind.

I’m registered for this class, but am sick and am trying to fill the slot. Short notice, but these classes are highly sought after so hopefully someone is able to attend.

And there’s the rub. I carry a P365 when I need a smaller gun, but I also don’t especially like it. Yet it’s also a lot smaller than the 43, but with 4 extra round.
I really wish Glock had a true...
I was expecting more, given Langdon Tactical’s reputation.
Maybe I’m wrong, but feels like the marginal cost of a single SCD should be quite low. High fixed costs for R&D, machinery and such, of...
Langdon Tactical replied: “I will get some roll pins sent out.” (That’s it.)
Not sure how easy or hard replacement will be. Didn’t imagine the pin would be a user-replaceable part.
The Langdon SCD installed on my Gen5 Glock 19 MOS failed today about 150 rounds into a range session. The “hinge bar” appears to have broken, resulting in the exterior part falling off. The firearm...
Stock Glock 19 with a SCS and a Langdon SCD, in a JMCK Wing Claw 2.0.
I’m at 4,000 rounds through the setup and will probably sell it at about 10,000. Hopefully by then the EPS Carry is better...
I’d stick with what you know, so that points to the G48. I’d feel better carrying appendix with the SCD, too.
One note if it makes a difference—the new production P365XLs have a rear sight...
What do you mean by “penultimate?” Which Glock is the “ultimate”—the 19?
The trade off is width (comfort) and grip length (concealability).
I found the G26 works better strong side, and the G43X (actually the 48, but close enough) works better appendix.
I ultimately...
Here’s a good consolidation of interviews and videos on this approach to the grip:

With news of Don Lemon’s firing, perhaps that’s happening.

I was in a Glock Operator Course yesterday, and the instructor was running a Performance Trigger. On a drill near the end of the class, his trigger failed to reset....
On this point… I’ll say that, for $700, you can get a great, no-compromises service pistol. You can pay more, but you really don’t need to. Buy a Beretta 92X RDO or a Glock 19 MOS or a CZ 75D PCR....

Of those three, the right option is Glock 47, because let’s be real, he’ll end up with a Glock 19 at some point anyway. With that combo he can create a Glock 45 and a Glock 19L. Buy 2 guns, get 2...
I will say… Be skeptical of how guns “feel in the hand” at a gun counter. Like, be aware of it, and recognize that it might be better, but also recognize that feeling good in the hand at the counter...
I actually think the decision is largely where you left it years ago: Glock or a Beretta 92.
There are many fine firearms available, but in my view for a standard do-it-all pistol, those are the...
Here is the bodycam footage posted above, plus commentary from LMPD. Nothing groundbreaking, but it does add some color.

They know their market. A lot of people buying cheap Ruger pistols with stock sights and sticking them in a dresser drawer. For an extra $100, they get a sighting solution that’s probably hands-down...
