It’s based on the Tom Threepersons pattern. Was made by one of my department’s guys that does some leather work.
I have been on the look out for a 4” N frame in 45acp with a tapered barrel, without any luck. I obtained a Model 25 in 45acp to be a base gun for this project, I sent the revolver as well as a 4”...
Better pics of my skinny barreled Model 1950 45acp revolver. This revolver is extremely accurate, It came with the S&W target grips without the “football” cut out.
The Model 27 3 1/2” is a true classic revolver. It just looks “right” Got this one many years ago.

I'm in complete agreement on the pre Model 26 45acp's. These are very nice revolvers. Bad lighting in this pic.
1917 w/ a Gregory & Read half moon pouch plus a G&K 1917 holster.

This one of my favorite 45 revolvers. Started out as a 6 1/2" Model 25 / Model of 1955 revolver. I picked up a 4" Model 28 Highway Patrolman barrel which I had bored and rifled for 45acp. That barrel...
And an alloy framed Compact too.
And that was with a 45acp no less. Made me take my refund and purchase an ACW. Haven't looked back.
To be fair, all my older Wilson's run great. That includes three 9mm's.

Odd the "Heavy Clothing" test results were not included for this round. That's my 1st go to in round evaluations. Looks promising.

Copy that! I'm still happy with my beat up SL Pro Tac for edc. What the F do I know. I'm still carrying a 1911.

I agree. Here's my alloy BHP with Heinie sights mounted by my friend. He does great work. This pistol is with Don (Action Works) at this time.
JW
Here's the Heinie sighted 40 S&W over the Novak sighted 9mm. I prefer the Heinie sight too. The extra thickness of the slide is evident by the milled cut out for the slide stop.
JW
The serial number is intact on front strap.
I find the 40 BHP a very nice pistol. The extra thickness to the slide as well as the spring rates this pistol has equals a very flat shooting 40 S&W....
It's DLC. Not sure who Don uses. It is very nice. It's more of a very dark grey. However, oiled some it appears more black. Nothing is nicer than a deep bluing. It just doesn't stand up to use tho.
...
I agree. Class and beauty. Flat shooting too.
JW
Serrations back of slide. Shortened / rounded hammer

I did a quick thread on it here. https://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?52875-40-S-amp-W-Browning-Hi-Power&p=1356091#post1356091

I sent my 40 S&W Browning Hi Power to Don Williams @ The Action Works for the modifications outlined below. This will be one of my duty pistol’s. I sent Don several emails with pictures of thumb...

My ACW Classic Carry is my favorite range pistol. I carry my LW Hackathorn for work and EDC. But when it's time to shoot, the ACW is the go to. The DLC finish is holding up very well. Closing in on...
I put a little time with each caliber I routinely carry. 9mm Shield Plus. 40 S&W BHP. 45 acp ACW. It was a great day to be on the range.

Thanks for the info. I carry a 442 as a bug. Have you tested the Spear GD 135 +p JHP.

Not the case with my Shield Plus 13rd mags. They appear to be assembled correctly. I have had these for several month using them @ a number of range session. The new 13rd mags will not load the 13th...
