Finally had a chance to listen. Some gems for sure... much of the ground covered was... familiar.
"Duty" was part of the premise of this thread, but I think we all at least consider concealment a lot more seriously "here" than your average joe "out there" so we trend to drift that way and weight...
Sun Tzu can bill me...
I believe it. Sig really has kicked Glocks ass on the 9mm "slim" guns, both in form/capacity, and marketing them. It doesn't hurt that they seem to work pretty dang well, and are shootable for lots...
I *can* conceal it under a T-shirt... but its not optimal concealment gear. Mission drives the gear train. I'm willing to "dress around the gun" when I have to. Sometimes getting made matters more...
For sure. As a reference my 5 shot 3" S&W 60-10 .357 J-frame revolver weighs roughly the same as my G19.5 w/RMR... fully loaded the Glock might be a little heavier, but it's also 3X the capacity,...
Everyone tends to look at things through their own prisms for sure. Upthread a comment was made that you had to be a bigger guy to conceal a Glock 19... which IME, isn't true. I'm not particularly...
It's the only way to be sure...
Gah! Don't tell me that!...
It's specific to the 19X frame. It has a protrusion at the bottom of the frontstrap that will hit the extended beveled lip at the front of the Gen 5 mags. The 45 frame, and 17/34 frames don't have...
This about sums it up.
Pistol bullets of almost all types and calibers will penetrate interior walls and still be dangerous. Surprisingly 5.56mm/.223, even most of the barrier blind LE loads, are...
This and the fact that Gen 3 mags, and some early Gen 4 mags do not have the ambi/reversible magazine catch notch are the exceptions to the rule. Those early mags won't work in a lefty setup Gen4/5. ...
A bodyguard style variant would interest me... I don't know why but I've always loved those ugly things, despite never owning one. That said... I need to be able to find a 442 first. I still have not...
PERSEC bro...
But that is pretty funny.
I also saw this earlier today, and haven't seen it linked here in the thread. Revolverguy's third article about the UC guns, and a bit more about actually shooting them, and some (bleh) clear gel...
I am glad someone(s) pushed for this project to happen... and I'd like to think some of the ideas could be applied to other lines/models, but I do have my doubts about the revolver market making a...
FireClean FTW!... Also works for seasoning cast iron, in a pinch.
Kidding.
As of late I've been using EWL30... but I also have half a gallon of CLP that I still need to use up. I've...
I have to say... I'm a bit envious of those of you who have got your hands on these. Really looking forward to getting my paws on one eventually.
Graphite? My recent lot of 147gr HST seems to do the same thing.
I've noticed similar things on other ammo... usually cheaper ball. Wolf 9mm (ages ago, when it was lacquer coated cases) was...
Mine just got longer... if I can find a .357.
He had it coming.
Stupidity.
I find an appropriately sized screw and nut... something that the head of the screw will fit inside and below flush with the thumbpiece, then tighten the nut on the back side to hold it firm, then...
9mm fired in a .40 ... oops
Oh, thats baaaaaaaaaaaaaad...
