Yes functionally I didn't find it much different than shooting a 2011 with PT evo grip as far as hand placement and safety location.
The DWX breaks down about the same as most tilt barrel pistols. Remove slide stop and pull upper from frame.
As for dealers the big online guys are going to the best bets when they start shipping....
As soon as I saw that I listed all of my 2.5s for sale and will be ordering 3 of the new ones as soon as they start showing in stock.
Most of the time the shadow slides will fit between multiple frames. The exception to this is if its a new unfit factory slide as they are wide and will need fit.
I would have to assume that they started working on this awhile ago and are targeting the bulk of the guns in the market place first and will modify it down the road to have a Gen 5 version?
I think you have too much hope for USPSA leadership. my guess is they will allow it as is.
I think you are probably going to be somewhat unhappy with the options in that price range. If I had to stay lower budget I would look at some of the silicon molded ones with that have filters.

Those mags look wider than a standard shadow 2. Odds are a basepad from one of the modern guns will be the same I would try a P320, M&P and P10 base to see if one fits.
I wouldn't be concerned. The primary smith for Dan Wesson stuff at CZ is good.
It was changes to the model last year, Current one has the single slot and Front cocking serrations. SKUs 01807 01815 01802 01806 01814 01801 for the full sizes.
I had one want to pop down on my last mag pouch, but havent had issues with the ones actually getting used.
Contact CZ for a replacement on the Translucent ones that cracked. The newer black windowed mags are far better.
I have 4 of them and they have been good. From what I have seen at work as well they are good mags.
They seem good but I havent really used them as its my off season. Probably only 20-30 minutes of dry fire and a couple locals. They have stayed tight and I havent broken one yet.
I have used nothing but the hennings seriously, at nationals I tried some of the SSI grip and found the size much better for me. I havent shot with them a lot yet. It feels much closer to a 2011 to...
There is a guardian on gunbroker right now with both a 9mm and 38 barrel..
I dont own one or shoot one, but a good friend of mine who is also a pretty serious USPSA competitor uses one and has had very good luck out of his three over the last year, probably 30-40k rounds on...

Removed the extra to focus on the two that I know the most about. The Lock N load is not near the press the Dillon machines are and I would strongly consider saving for a 750 if you feel you have to...
I can answer from the 1911/2011 standpoint. I always removed/deactivated the grip safeties on my comp guns because with a high grip they are not reliable for my hand size, but I have large hands and...
I work in the firearms industry as well for a manufacture. If Biden wins I think this craziness will continue for a long while. If Trump wins I imagine it will slow back down and maybe even be...
I ordered a set of these after nationals and just set them up. So far I really like them. The leaf spring system DAA uses has always worked well but I think these will not get loose and be harder to...
Added the ones I know in Red
It was a very tough match, I think just looking at the percentage of points shot for the top finishers in production shows how hard it was.
Also moving production so early in the year next year...
