Agreed. They are my favorite J-frame grips for both shooting and carry.
That's a class act right there.
We had a guy run one in class maybe 10 years back. I remember it because it was unique, and it wasn't terribly reliable in semi mode. The rear sight went walkabout early on day 2, never found it. ...
To clarify, when I finally (months after the quoted lead time) got the slide back, the safety/decocker lever would get stuck in the 'safe' position because the detent spring hole was drilled...
Back about 10 years ago, before Ernest restarted LTT and Wilson was doing 92 work, he was the only game in town and came well recommended. I paid him to convert my .22 conversion kit to G, and he...
I want a .32 80x as much as if not more than anyone, but I wouldn't trust AGW to not screw it (and my gun) up... again.
The majority of people want cheap. I can't count how many gun shop owners have told me that they sell a bajillion Tauruses and HiPoints to offset the Daniel Defense or KAC ARs that hang on the wall...
But there's no reason why you couldn't have a vent rib AND good sights on a shotgun. It's not an either-or proposition. When I say I love vent ribs on a shotgun, it's not saying I want to use a...
Mike's a refreshing breath of honesty, ain't he?
My eye just seems to naturally line up with the rib in a way it doesn't quite do with a plain barrel. Not everyone's works that way, but mine apparently does.
I also find them just old-school...
Right?!? I so desperately want a 1301Tac with a vent rib bbl.
VENT RIB ALL THE THINGS
I went a bit off my usual path and watched "Delicious in Dungeon" based on several friends' recommendations. It legitimately surprised me. It has a lot of the usual exaggerated anime character...
My Grandpap still maintains that Winchester died the day they stopped making the Model 12.
Also lighter, and includes the buffer. Plus, R&D costs money.
FWIW I've been running one of the prototypes for the last year and it's been quite nice, fills all the little gaps and makes a more...
The primary purpose is to reduce LOP even further. I do find that the KickEez thin pad has a nice radius at the heel to reduce snagging when mounting the gun, which is also nice.
To me, the attraction is going to be a lighter-weight, handier platform. Yes, recoil will still be an issue, but with good technique that can be mitigated. The weight of the gun mostly can't, and I...
It's been a while since I handled one of the X22 pads but I seem to recall them being not quite as squishy/cushy as the kickeez pads. I'd have to get my hands on one again to really be sure though.
The ones I've seen have been a little tacky at first, but one session at the range dried them right out and they were fine.
Tim's spot-on with this.
Mag tubes just loosen under vibration over time, it's a thing. Witness mark your stuff, check it frequently, and re-tighten when needed.
And like most marketing things, it's not quite right. For example, it certainly won't have that many #2 buck pellets in it...
I'll have to disagree on that one.
But I'm egotistical like that :D
Yup. Fisher had a big hand in it, apparently, and it shows in a lot of the little touches.
Honestly the only thing I don't care for is the Glock-pattern front sight, because I'm just waiting for...
This was apparently the Year of the Levergun, as just about everyone and their brother was making one.
Things I saw that interested me, in no particular order (well, other than the first one,...
FWIW, I talked to one of the ammo guys at Federal last week at SHOT.
This fellow told me that the 20ga load was engineered specifically to get 12"-15" penetration in calibrated gel, which is why...
