My two girls were into that show for a while.

I haven't seen it, but I think there was a 2016 reboot called "Mako Mermaid." The third girl playing one of the mermaids, Cariba Heine, is in one episode of it. I assume reprising her role.
"The Northman" is bad - as in don't waste your money bad. Most disappointing.
I watched the first episode of We Own This City last night. It definitely didn't suck me in like The Wire did but it's still early. For fans of The Wire, you'll recognize a few faces.
It's being pushed so hard it almost has to be. Not even on the long list.
Meanwhile, while on my week off due to covid exposure, the wife and I binged our way through Ozark's final season.
Throughout, the characters continued to be fun to watch, which probably speaks to the writing. This season, Veronica Falcon pretty much continued to play the role she did in Queen of the South. And I'm fine with that. She was superb as was Janet McTeer in earlier seasons. Laura Linney continued to be convincingly bonkers. Jordana Spiro doesn't get mentioned a lot but she continued to be fantastic. And Jason Bateman's production, direction, and strong performances as, well, Jason Batemen, but in Vic Mackey levels of deep doodoo, will be able to name his price for a while. Good stuff.
All the Old Knives on Amazon Prime.
Slow burn drama concerning a CIA investigation into a horrific terrorist hijacking in Vienna from 10 years previously. New information suggests that there was a mole in the Vienna office.
Chris Pine and Thandie Newton are old lovers who reunite during the investigation.
Almost the entire movie takes place over dinner between these 2. The story unfolds from their respective flashbacks.
This movie builds to a whammy of an ending that left me thinking about the ramifications for days.
No action, except in the sheets...Thandie is very decorative and not shy.
Recommended if you want to see several fine actors deliver a well told story.
No doubt already mentioned in this long thread but "The Last Kingdom" on Netflix was very good. 5 seasons of Historical-ish goodness.
Honorable mention to "Reacher". I know it got mixed reviews here at PF but I found the series fun and the Reacher character hilarious.
Old school favorite (since the epic movie, 12-O'Clock high was mentioned), "In Harms Way" - starring John Wayne and Kirk Douglas favorite Naval warfare film.
The Tourist on HBOmax is really good.
