In news that frankly surprised me, IDPA has canceled the 2020 National Championship. Short version: they're concerned that due to economic effects, sponsors won't be able to support the match, and shooters and staff won't be able to travel to it.
I think those are legitimate concerns, considering the entirely volunteer nature of IDPA participation. How likely are people to pony up close to a grand in travel expenses after spending the first 1/3rd of the year not making any money?
There is also going to be a classification extension, and they've posted discount codes for members renewing their membership (no doubt, to encourage people to renew).
I assumed it was because of the increased threat to the elderly (I am 60).

COVID-19 is going to have a huge and lasting effect on the sport. Social distencing, and the interrelationship between the SO and shooter will need to be adressed-not just to meet the letter of the law, but for common sense and a reasonable assurance of protection for all participatants.
I signed up for a GSSF match in August, and am already signed up for our State IDPA match (the next weekend after the GSSF match), but am uncertain if they'll actually occur, or if I'll actually attend. The GSSF match is probably more COVID-managable due to the nature of the match. We'll see.

Got a couple of outfits in this area resuming IDPA, USPSA, SC matches second half of May, another in June.
