Ted Lasso seasons 1 and 2 are way better than I ever expected. Think British writing with American humor instead of British.
The Chair, if you had any experience with Academia - it’s great. Acting is superb and they nailed it.
Reminisce : a slown burn, but stylish. A real film noir vibe if that's your thing, it's mine. Due to the pacing, it's better streamed at home.
Jungle Cruise : Pirates of the Caribbean in the Amazon pretty much sums this one up. I struggled to stay awake during the last half hour of a 2.5 hour running time.
Re an off shoot of surfing-Skate Boarding- 2001 Movie Dogtown and the Z-Boys was fascinating to me as a land locked kid re the relationship/transition from surfing to skateboarding and why it had to be a SOCAL thing at that moment in time. I enjoyed it immensely.
The Protégé. Lots of nice violence, but thoroughly…meh.
"Post Mortem" on Netflix. uric but fun.
Watched Nobody this weekend. Enjoyable flick with some funny lines. Not as good as a typical John Wick movie though.
Favorite line (spoken to protagonist's elderly father):
You brought a lot of shotguns
Well, you brought a lot of Russians.
:D
Chris
This looks like it might be a fun watch when it comes out. I’m a sucker for a decent “western” especially one set in the South East and I think Tim Blake Nelson looks the part of an old William H. Bonny.
