no more 147gr, how about 124gr?
I am fast running out of 147gr HST for my G26. Bought a fair amount a while back for testing and training, but I am down to less than 2 boxes. The few times I have seen the 147gr on sale it has been priced too high for me to buy in quantity. I have only recently (as in this past week) seen any Gold Dot 124gr +p available, again at a very steep price, and no 147gr.
However, I still have several boxes of 124gr HST (standard pressure). This round has never made "the list", but it has functioned just fine for me before. Where does this round fall in the pantheon of 9mm ammo? Worth relying on for EDC in my G26, or expensive range ammo?

Doc, how do you like 147gr HydraShok?
I'm currently carrying 147gr Rangers, but picked up a couple of available boxes of the Federal last weekend. My LGS, which has kept their prices as low as they could through the craziness, has finally started getting something other than Hornaday CD in stock.
Oh how I miss the days of being able to walk into my LGS of choice and pick up as many 50 rd boxes of Ranger-T as I wanted. In hind sight, I should have grabbed more when I could.
ETA: if I've missed your coverage of Fed HydraShok in the sticky, just steer me there. No need to double up on the work you've already done.
