Course Description:

Positional shooting (to include ground work), emergency and tactical reloads, shooting on the move, fighting off the axis, barricades/use of cover, and multiple target engagements will all be covered. In addition, injured operator drills will be completed, forcing dominant and non-dominant single hand weapon manipulation, as well as injured operator problem solving scenarios.

Diagnostic feedback will be provided to each shooter. Train to fight with your pistol, with a heavy emphasis on subconscious/intuitive weapon operation and real-time problem solving. Learn to run the pistol under less than ideal conditions, to include simulated injured operator scenarios.

The second day of training will conclude with an abbreviated ballistics lab. We will focus on intermediate barriers commonly encountered in lethal force situations and examine how our defensive ammo performs with intermediate barriers and ballistic gelatin.

***Students must have a satisfactory/intermediate level of safe weapon handling skills. This is not a beginner level course.***

Class training will take place at Double Tapp Range located at 14010 E Double Tapp Lane, Boise, ID 83716. 9am to 5pm for both days.

Necessary equipment:
- Serviceable pistol chambered in 9mm or larger
- 800 rounds pistol ammunition
- Pistol holster (holster must allow single handed reholstering)
- Gun belt and magazine pouch
- 3 pistol magazines
- Eye and ear protection
- Personal food and hydration needs for the day
- State/government issued identification
- Weather appropriate gear (we shoot rain or shine)
- Sunscreen/hat

Recommended gear (not required):
-Knee and elbow pads
-Note pad and pen
-Small amount of duty/defensive ammo for ballistics lab
