Duty gun from my new Kerber Arms level 2 SWAT rig. Ran the FAST, 30 rd version of Dot Torture w reduced size circles (that sucks), 1-2 R 3 drill from @JodyH and some of the stages from Jedi’s Black Belt Standards.

Made time Sunday to hit the range for a couple of hours G19.4, G34.4, M&P 40 Pro 5", M&P 45 Compact. The M&Ps fit my hand better and they seem to be easier for me to shoot well than the Glocks. The 19 and 34 probably aren't going anywhere but I think any new striker pistols will be M&Ps.

These two came with me to the Arizona / Nevada border for a five day Tactical Performance Center class that ended today. You can see they are twins. The bottom one is my carry weapon and got maybe 1500 rounds during the instruction days. The one on top is for matches and got maybe 125 rounds at a local USPSA match we shot as a class today. The bottom one is at 9395 rounds since late April; the match sister is at 2297 now since August.

I took a friend and the Vudoo 22 to the range today. We shot the heads on the steel chickens at 75 yards with Auto match.
Someday I hope to catch the dumbass who shoots them with their centerfire rifles.
After doing a day of “serious “carbine training at work on Friday I decided that a little planking on steel was in order. Finally got to shoot the new to me Colt New Service. It was made in 1919 and somewhere along the way someone added a set of Smith and Wesson adjustable sights.

Six rounds double action at 10 yards on fresh painted steel. Ammo was WWB white box 230 grain. I only had five moon clips and I have moon clip tools on order so 30 rounds was it for the day. On two of the five cylinders full, There was one chamber which did not fire the first time around But did fire when given a second strike. It looks like I will need to identify that cylinder and find a gunsmith who can still work on a new service. That last part may be quite a challenge
Unlike my prior 25-2 This gun would not fire reliably without clips. I tried one cylinder full and could only get one out of six to fire

The old and the new. A century’s worth of development in fighting handguns.

HCM - you may want to reach out fo Frank Glenn in Arizona, I think he can work on that New Service for you.
Beautiful revolver, by the way.
