The Four Horsemen of the .45
For years I have been wanting to acquire what I considered the best of the .45 service pistols. I finally did it, though it took longer than I ever expected, and a few other shiny things got in the way.
That said, these are what I always considered the GREATS:
The 1911, the Glock 21, the 4506, and finally the HK USP.
Not too long ago, a fellow Idahoan, and all around great guy parted with his USP, which due to who it was made it even cooler. :cool:

While the 9mm may be acceptable for dropping bad guys these days, when it comes to an all around cartridge for people and animals, I will still take the old standby.
