No, apparently you are correct, those rigs were called monkey bars...
...But growing up in NYC in the 50's and 60's...that's the only term I ever heard used for them...by parents, teachers, kids etc.
I'm sure it's just a regional thing.
Jungle Jim was a TV show with Johnny Weismuller (Tarzan) in the mid 50's.
While I'm not one for correcting memes, the warp drive doesn't propel the ship. It warps space-time around the ship, so shutting off the engines wouldn't allow it to coast. Impulse engines are what they use to move the ship through normal space-time.
Fun note, theoretical physicists have suggested that the math says it's actual possible to do, although of course we lack the technology to experimentally prove it at this point. See: https://theconversation.com/warp-dri...a-boost-157391

"Okay, BBI...now, you're starting to worry me."
You people are uncivilized heathens.
I mean that in the nicest possible way, of course.
Yeah, I'm not nearly smart enough to even tinker around the edges of that stuff, but apparently it doesn't violate the Universal Speed Limit (radar enforced) because you aren't actually traveling the space in between you and there. You're compressing space in front of you and expanding it behind you, like smooshing up a runner rug, taking a step, then pulling it straight again behind you. You only took one step but are now much further down the rug in one step then if you'd left it smooth.
And because meme thread, one I assume the sorts of folks figuring this out will find entertaining. And know if the math checks out.

I read a handful of books on string theory and related matter(s), and decided I was glad I didn't decide to become a theoretical physicist...even if I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express.
