Taxi premiered 45 years ago? Where did the years go?
I liked the show, but when I saw Star Trek III in the movie theater, I exclaimed “Ignatowski“ out loud when I saw the Klingon captain. My date was mortified.

Guerrera and I watched "Top Gun: Maverick," four thumbs up; she's not usually into "military" movies, but she has fond memories of the original, and liked this one (me, too).
"Snakes on a Plane" we had never seen it, and Younger Offspring recorded it, so we decided to preview it (he's 16, so we do due diligence for R-rated movies): so over-the-top that it was scary/funny. Not that I would recommend it, but it was amusing to see.
"Mean Girls" - Older Offspring was home for the weekend, so the whole fam watched this together. Almost 20 years old, and it still holds up as a (slightly non-PC now) teen comedy, and it has a couple of my favorite lines
"I have this fifth sense. It's like I have ESPN."
"That's so 'fetch'." "STOP TRYING TO MAKE 'FETCH' HAPPEN!"
Watching the latest Fargo. What a set of characters! Improvised weaponry training video.
We got Apple TV+ for a month to binge Ted Lasso and The Morning Show. I took advantage of it and watched Greyhound. There were a couple of flubs with bridge commands and the Fletcher class DDs weren't in service that early in the war. But I understand why they did that; they could film on the USS Kidd instead of building sets of another ship.
Roswell New Mexico on Netflix.

I'll give it 4 out of 5 stars so far. I'm on episode 2 of season 2. First of all, don't confuse it with "Roswell" which is a different show. This one has "New Mexico" in the title.
The premise is a woman moves back to Roswell after 10 years. She moved away when her sister died in a car accident. Apparently she was on drugs and killed three other people who were with her. So the woman and her father are ostracized by the town. She's pulled over by a police officer who turns out to be somebody she went to school with and had a crush on her. It's no spoiler to say that he turns out to be an alien. That is reviled quickly in the first episode.
There is some secret about the sister's death. They eventually discover she was murdered and the aliens may have had something to with it. Then a romantic connection forms between the woman and the alien cop. Good character development and interesting story lines keep me watching. But it is very woke. Though the aliens are allegorical for US immigration policies, they still come out a talk about actual illegal immigration. The main bad guy is an Air-Force Sargent-Major.
Another plus are two smoking hot babes. Sadly Riley Voelkel is only in 20 of the 52 episodes.

OK, Update on Roswell New Mexico. I'm on episode 10 of season 2. The plan is to finish it because I like the character interactions, some of the plot lines, and the hot babes.
Unfortunately:
It is far more woke than I thought. Capitalism, the U.S. military, the American medical system, ICE, and heterosexuals, among other conservative values, are all evil. Lines like, "Deterrence is not strength, it's fear," permeate the show. >sigh< watch at your own risk.
Re watching Deadwood with son who “discovered” it while searching out a myriad of historical dramas from all eras.
It still holds up.
We finished Babylon 5 yesterday.
Tonight I decided to change it up a bit...
